Some folks find checkered lillies (fritillaria meleagris) hard to grow. That may be because they look like grass when they first come up and it is all too eacy to pull them up. Once we learned not to pull them up, they have spread easily by themselves and now display in charming clusters. Spring is in full swing now.

I'm still finding images in my archive that I had forgotten about. Hopefully, Spring will be here soon and I can then take some new photos.

Tweaked just a little.

Explored. Thank you xx

For the remaining few years of the C&O signals on CSX's Northern sub I made a few mostly unsuccessful trips to catch trains and the classic signals. Probably the most famous location in the area was the Vauces interlocking where this westbound skirts the center siding on its way to Columbus.

During springtime every year, the Central Valley of California become filled with pollen from all the trees and flowers that grow there. It's the perfect opportunity to go out and take stunning flower photos. However, allergies make the evenings terrible for me, but it's worth it!

The Pleiades cluster (M45) was imaged from Seven Mile beach in the Cayman Islands. It was great to finally be under a relatively dark sky site. The photo was made of 36 fifteen second exposures taken with a Canon 80D and a Canon 200 mm f/2.8L II lens. (ISO 3200, f/3.5)

Messier 3 (M3 or NGC 5272) is a globular cluster of stars in the northern constellation of Canes Venatici. It was discovered by Charles Messier on May 3, 1764,[8] and resolved into stars by William Herschel around 1784.

it occupies a patch of sky about 1/3 of the size of the moon.

This cluster is one of the largest and brightest, and is made up of around 500,000 stars. It is estimated to be 8 billion years old. It is located at a distance of about 33,900 light-years away from Earth.

As impressive a display of M.inclinata as I have ever seen!

Leaves are turning and the Mushrooms are sprouting (not the correct term). This was a 58 image stack, I probably should have done a few more and adjusted other technical issues. Much of the time the problems are difficult to see when prone.

My Favorite Photo From the California Trip in 2006 i spent 30 minutes at the Montery Bay Aquariaum before i had to leave. I'm very impressed and proud of this shot! I hope you enjoy! :)

I came across this scene and liked the composition of these particular trees.

This is one image in a series on the city at night–––the magic and lure of its lights, the mix of architectural styles, the resulting dynamic when framed with a portion of the purely functional parking decks which served as my shooting platform. In the end though, it is the light that drives these images, providing the visual magic and lure that is a city at night. To see more in the CITY LIGHTS series, check out my City Lights Album

The Fornax Cluster is a cluster of galaxies lying at a distance of (62 million light-years). It is the second richest galaxy cluster within 100 million light-years, after the considerably larger Virgo Cluster.
