The HiRoller Club where I took part in their Roller-stake Trail Workshop at HiRoller Indoor Skating Rink at Level 5 E!Hub, Downtown East in Pasir Ris.
When I visit one of my favorite coffee houses and I'm in the mood for something scrumptious, reliable and most importantly... satisfying, I always go for a Classic Clubhouse Sandwich with Chips. There's just something so simple and timeless about how it tastes and the experience I get every time; it tastes like Old Americana and Memories, if a sandwich could even embody such. High standards for a sandwich to live up to right? But for me, a Clubhouse just hits the spot.

This building is situated in Split in Croatia where I was recently on a short trip. I found this building while looking at Split area on Google earth. It's an amazing building! It's essentially a large tower on the beach with a concrete bridge from the cliff next to it. I asked many locals about it and most had never heard of this place and the few that did had little info other than "it's been closed for over thirty years!". I did a little digging online and there isn't a lot of stuff apart from a very informative article in Croatian. It was built in 1968 and expanded in 1978. The architect, Ante Svarčić, got an award for the design in 1980. This building was a part of Hotel Zagreb which was funded by the JNA (Split Military Construction Directorate) and the hotel was mainly exclusive to military people apart from a small section. The beach building, Disco Club Titanic, however was open to everybody and had a broader purpose than a booming night club. The building served as the main path for the hotel guests to the beach as they'd walk over the concrete bridge and take one of the two glass elevators down for direct access to the beach. There were changing rooms for those who wanted to go to the beach along with storage for beach equipment (benches, sunbrellas, cycling boats...). There was also a large catering hall with a kitchen that could accommodate almost 400 guests along with a small pastry shop. Unfortunately the building only blossomed for about 10 years and fell into abandonment in the Civil War in the early 90's. In an interview, Ante stated that a prospect investor was interested in buying the building, but was unable to reach an agreement with the government which is the current owner, possibly along with others, making negotiations complicated. Ante also stated that even though he's in his 80's, he'd be willing to assist in restoring the building to its former glory since it is one of his pride designs and it breaks his heart to see it in it's current state.

During my visit it became evident that some people now call this place home as there were sleeping bags and piles of stuff in some of the nooks and crannies but no one was home while I was exploring.

The Club de Pescadores (Spanish: Fisherman's Club) is situated on the banks of the Río de la Plata in Costanera Norte Avenue, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Just loved the architecture of this building outside Tavira - couldn't resist overdoing the HDR. Thought the Buiding had tones of Art Deco & is a little pleasantly tired.
