Totally Transport Community Interest Company 459 CLT, an A.E.C. Routemaster R2RH built 1962 with a Park Royal body on the Promenade in Blackpool by the Crystal Road junction. Monday 2nd May 2011
Note, 459 CLT was originally operated by the London Transport Executive as a class 6RM6 vehicle with the fleet number RMC1459. The London Transport Executive became the London Transport Board on 1st January 1963. 459 CLT transferred to London Country Bus Services Limited as number RMC1459 on 1st January 1970, was stored in December 1977 and acquired by the London Transport Executive as number RMC1459 in January 1978 for use as a training vehicle. Control of public transport in Greater London passed to London Regional Transport on 29th June 1984 and bus operations passed to London Buses Limited on 29th March 1985 in preparation for bus deregulation. London Buses Limited was divided into twelve business units on 1st April 1989 due to bus deregulation, 459 CLT being transferred to the Leaside Bus Company Limited. 459 CLT was withdrawn from use in November 1990 and acquired for preservation by Paul Almeroth in January 1991. It was acquired by the Totally Transport Community Interest Company (a Blackpool based operator operating as ClassicBus Lancashire, the operating name being changed to ClassicBus North West in 2009) in 2008 and converted to a hospitality bus in April 2010, the seating being altered from H32/25RD
