Another shot of the Sunset captured this evening enroute from Miami to Bogota. Somewhere over the Caribbean. This cloud really cooperated with being in the right place at the right time.
A shining cloud lit by the Villarrica lights faces the Magellanic Clouds..

A wild evening in the sky to say the least. After the sun went down I was packing up to leave when I noticed another photographer looking through his lens up at the sky. This was happening 45 degrees above my head and the clouds where swirling about. Rather, it kept engulfing itself as it would roll. My 70-200 brought it close enough and it was fascinating to watch as it was ever changing.
After the colorful event in the clouds finished we talked about what we saw and about photography in general. He had as much equipment as most and it was attached all about him. I will always remember what he had to say regarding just being out and shooting. "It beats sitting in the basement", he said, meaning better than sitting watching the boob tube. "Yes", "You never know till you go" I added.
Very foreboding clouds.. but no sign of rain, and no sign of a much needed storm to clear the air. Very hot and humid tonight.
Another photo of British Airways flight 288 departing against a gorgeous sunset. Kinda hard to see it against the clouds but I like how the jetwash distorts the light.

The United States Congress designated the Table Rock Wilderness in 1984 and it now has a total of 5,781 acres. All of this wilderness is located in Oregon and is managed by the Bureau of Land Management.
A remnant of a lava flow that once covered this region along the western foothills of the Cascades, the "fortress" of Table Rock stands at 4,881 feet above the northeastern portion of this small Wilderness. On this steep and rugged terrain you'll find a quiet forest of Douglas fir and western hemlock, with noble fir at higher elevations and crowds of rhododendron on many of the upper slopes, an island of old growth in an ocean of forest development. At least two endangered plants bloom here: Oregon sullivantia and Gorman's aster. Deer and elk wander about in winter, and the northern spotted owl has been spotted among the old trees.
From four trailheads, about 17 miles of trails give access to the Wilderness. A relatively easy hike from Table Rock Road will take you up the Table Rock Trail to the sweeping vista from the summit of Table Rock, where the land falls suddenly away in basalt cliffs on the north face. From this high point, Mount Rainier looms far to the north, Bull of the Woods Wilderness beckons from the east, and the Willamette Valley spreads out to the south.
You will not find any reliable sources of potable water on the trails, so pack along your own. Horses may find dangerous footing on some of the talus slopes.

Yesterday we had a typhoon spinning through the Taiwan strait and bringing heavy rain to the south-western areas and causing great damages and we also had a "typhoon holiday," which means we didn't have to go to work or school. Before the evening, when typhoon Talim was spiraling by, there was a very short break with the crimson clouds rushing north-ward and during that moment, it didn't rain but blew strong winds.

I was just locking the office door and looked round. Not exactly warm and looks like it could even rain.

From dark, ominous clouds at dawn, to soft & wispy ones in a blue sky just an hour or so later, this was a morning you dream of. I'm gonna be uploading photos from this morning for some time. I captured landscapes & wildlife shots galore. It was almost a sensory overload thing. Almost everywhere I turned there was a photo to be taken. & the cool thing is .... many of them turned out! At least I liked them! & as long as I'm happy, right?
