At sea off the coast of Argentina, a cloud appeared that stretched across the horizon, looking like a twisted rope or towel miles long. This type of cloud formation is called a Roll Cloud, a relatively rare type of Arcus cloud. They are completely detached from other cloud features and usually, but not always, seen at sea. The name comes from their appearance of rolling horizontally.
I had to look this one up, as I'd never seen or heard of it before. From many of the comments below, very few others have seen this either.

I noticed the a huge cloud start to billow from my family room and immediately scurried towards downtown to see if I could get lucky with some storm clouds.
has been a very busy week, and I am trying to catch up, worked last weekend, took my girl to a party on Saturday then it was her 10th birthday party with friends on Sunday, Monday was her birthday and a family party for her, then she went to York with school on Wednesday for 3 days, we all have a week off now so am hoping the weather improves so we can enjoy some family days out, have a great weekend everyone :)

Super cell storm drifts towards us over the great plains of Nebraska at sunset.
Only another week before we head back out to tornado alley, so in a few weeks I hope to be posting some of this year’s storm shots, wish us luck!!
