SUNSET ~ Key West Harbor ~ Key West, Florida U.S.A.
So this was last night down by the river... Wish I could accurately describe how this built and built until we arrived at the best part.
Best I can do is just to show you. Guess what they say is true;
a picture is worth a thousand words... Thanks for looking.

All Things Must Pass
George Harrison
Sunrise doesn't last all morning.
A cloudburst doesn't last all day
Seems my love is up and has left you with no warning
It's not always going to be this grey
All things must pass
All things must pass away
Sunset doesn't last all evening
A mind can blow those clouds away
After all this, my love is up and must be leaving
It's not always going to be this grey
All things must pass
All things must pass away
All things must pass
None of life's strings can last
So, I must be on my way
And face another day
This one is for all my Family and Friends, wherever you are around the world. Remember, over the next few weeks and months, no matter how bad things get, it will get better. Stay safe, and look after each other.
Went down to Jamberoo this morning to shoot this specific old shed and tree. Have been waiting for the right conditions, and the sun to rise in just the right spot, and this morning, everything fell into place. It rained quite heavily on the trip down, and I knew then, that if we got just the slightest cloud break on the horizon, that it would be a ripper. And sure enough...
Happy out.
Hope you like "All Things Must Pass"
Cheers, Mike
A heavy rain shower is approaching me on Dartmoor, England. 15 minutes later I was walking in the middle of it!!

Captured at the same time as my 'Home Sweet Home' shot from a few days ago, this storm cell was moving in to the north and creating such a dramatically opposing mood to the crepuscular rays in the west. I still have to pinch myself that this beach is now just walking distance from my home. Enjoy!
As ever , the light aircraft are flying overhead and this one was a fair bit lower in altitude than usual - shot taken from the back garden at home .
G-BYFA is a Riems-Cessna F152 --
The Cessna 152 is an American two-seat, fixed-tricycle-gear, general aviation airplane, used primarily for flight training and personal use. It was based on the earlier Cessna 150 incorporating a number of minor design changes and a slightly more powerful engine with a longer time between overhaul.
The Cessna 152 has been out of production for more than thirty years, but many are still airworthy and are still in regular use for flight training.
The prefix " Riems " denotes it was European built under license .
I could not resist a TD track called Cloudburst Flight to go with the shot !!
Fontaine Modification Company, responsible for the majority of stand up RHD cab conversions in the US, tried their hand at a dedicated forward control low entry cab in 1998. Called out as the 'LFC' model on the identification plate above the left windshield and known simply as 'The Fontaine' by the drivers, this stillborn atrocity is one of I believe three the company put together before abandoning the project. As I understand it the lead engineer quit mid way through, leaving a disinterested contingent to finish the orders made by essentially beta tester customers, one of whom was my beloved Cloudburst Recycling.
Somewhere along the line in conversion from stock International 4900 w/ DT530 to Fontaine LFC, any and all semblance of reliability was lost. Veteran Cloudburst drivers tell stories of the truck simply dieing mid route. Most of the electrical problems have been ironed out over the years though some persist to this day. But generally the Fontaine can be counted on to run its early morning commercial route twice a week.
Having had the opportunity to help on said commercial route I can say the chassis bit of the truck isn't unpleasant to drive. Not even good, but passable. The McNeilus' reasonably fast pack cycles help make up for a small hopper. The geometry of the dumpster lifting gear out back is a bit off so there are times where you're fighting to align/latch/dump a container. The other McNeilus in the fleet are much better in that regard, seems this one was just half assed. Non standard rear load dumpsters certainly don't make things any easier.

Every sunset is different, because every day; sun
is different, clouds are different, space is different,
reflections are different....mountains are different,
fogs are different, and above all, we are different.

For the second night in a row, one of my lightning photos has been featured on the local news. KOB 4, Albuquerque. The weatherman even said "normally I do not feature the same photographer two nights in a row but I will make an exception tonight"
This was shot a few years back, it was a storm that developed very fast, as they do in the monsoon season. I was trying to hurry back to the trailhead and safety while still stopping to take pictures along the way...thirty second exposures no less!!! Not really that smart, but fun! Here's a young Grace Vanderwaal singing about "Stormy Weather"

Tigran Honents Church (AD 1215), Ani Ruins, Kars (Turkey). Near the Armenian Border. A few seconds after a huge cloudburst, hence the soft light and beautiful colours.
More photos of this beautiful area can be found in my Eastern Turkey set. Thanks for viewing.

When the sky erupts into a thousand
thunderclaps, and the rain begins to fall,
you take my hand, shelter me,...
kissing apprehension away. And with
eyes of adoration, you whisper,
"Ti amo, carissima."
Other men have tried before, to replace
you as "the one". That will never happen;
no one in the world, could ever compare
-- you, amore mio, are my
heart and soul.
(You are all I have dreamed, the reason
that I breathe. )
So, when dusk arrives, and all becomes
quiet, I dream a dream of holding you.
It is then, in that moment,
when your love illuminates the night
like a candle during prayer. It warms
me in my darkest hour,
rising to the surface, to be known
again and again.

Hallin Fell obelisk can be seen bottom left. The moody light and clouds on the distant fells was beautiful to watch. The eagle (crow) just drifted into the shot.
Thursday night’s cloudburst moving across Boston. Shot with iPhone 6s using ProCam to take raw frames, processed in LR and then made into a video with Zeitraffer, and stabilized a bit using Emulsio.
