Nim Wan in Lung Kwu Wan is one of the places famous for viewing sunset in New Territories.
Shortly after sunset, there is usally a brief moment when a bluish/purplish tinge is imposed on the sea surface.
The wings are spreading in such a way that they resemble a small flower - butter-cup.

This is another "re-mix" from 2009.
Australian winter can be tough sometimes, leaves on most trees have fallen off - here on a bleak afternoon, a magpie has just taken-off, breaking a twig in doing so. Food is hard to find, though....
Creteil is a suburb South East of Paris. Lac de Creteil is a beautiful lake near Creteil Prefecture.

Captured this one at a friend's front yard in Anglesea, Victoria, Australia.
Every afternoon at 3:30pm there is a show of feeding the pelicans at The Entrance, NSW. About 50 strong pelicans gather at the feeding point every afternoon. Thanks to the volunteers and patrons who make this event successful and ongoing. The Entrance is about 100 km north east of Sydney.
Here this bird comes from nowhere to wait for the feed.
The warm rising sun is obscured by thick clouds, which are beautifully outlined by light bursts, a raven is winging lazily across the sky . . . Autum is just round the corner . . .
White Dragontail is a medium sized butterfly , wing span ranges from 40 to 45 mm. Wings are mainly black, the triangular forewing with hyaline cells, short and narrow radial cells in the hindwing, and has a pair of slender tails which looks like swallow's tail. Its adult is the smallest in the Papilionidae family in the world.

When feeding, they stay on one flower very briefly, usually for a second or two, then swiftly jump to another with no predictable route Capturing them in motion is a great challenge.

Really waited very long for such an oppotunity. I got a short moment to shot directly to this frog before she moved away. I really went low and dirty my shirt to captured this and no regrets.
This is probably a juvenile European Goldfinch, trying to turn into adulthood. It is feeding off thistle seed pods and its bad table manner is strewing the cotton into the wind.
After going through the whole thistle pod, it is moving on to another thistle. A strand of cotton is seen strutting out from its beak.

Vipera berus, the common European adder or common European viper, is a venomous snake that is extremely widespread and can be found throughout most of Western Europe and as far as East Asia. They are not regarded as especially dangerous; the snake is not aggressive and usually bites only when really provoked, stepped on, or picked up. Bites can be very painful, but are seldom fatal.
These sweet little Cygnets sat together on a path in Goodland Gardens Taunton ,the parrent swans were close by , they were wanting to get the family back into the river but had gone to the wrong side where there were walls beween them and the water at that point so they needed to go down further and into another stream into the tone before they could get back into it.
These guys are very small and extremely fast. It is very hard to capture them in flight as they stay in the trees most of the time. Taken on a glorious Autumn morning. This is the result of very heavy cropping.

Short-tailed monkeys are common in Huangshan (yellow Mountain). They are noisy and fearless and would come out from pine trees to nag for food from tourists. This image was taken at Bright Top (光明頂) of Huangshan after viewing sunrise.
黃山短尾猴（學名：Macaca speciosa subsp）是藏酋猴的亞種之一，屬靈長類動物，是猴科中較大的一種。四肢粗壯，體態高大，肌肉豐滿，兩眼炯炯有神。成年猴一般體重15公斤左右，最大者達34公斤。它們蓄著山羊胡，長眉短尾，面大腮圓，身披深褐色長毛，色彩純正，有似金絲，故又稱金絲猴。又因其尾短不過6cm，好像被人用刀砍斷了似的，名短尾猴、斷尾猴。黃山短尾猴是中國獨有的一種猴類，分佈於中國黃山風景區。

This massive granite rock here is called The Pointer Rock. Recently it is also known as Mobile Phone Rock because with some imagination it resembles an early model of Motorola from some years back. Some people think it looks like dolphin.
Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is a jagged range of more than 70 knifelike peaks in eastern China’s Anhui province. The region's low-hanging clouds, distinctively shaped granite rocks and twisted pine trees have been subjects of numerous classical paintings and poems. Cable cars provide access to several peaks, and steep paved trails with thousands of stone steps snake past many of the range's famous viewpoints. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of China's major tourist destinations.

Acorn Woodpecker is gregarious, living in small colonies, using the same “granary tree” year after year. They chiefly feed on acorns and may use human structures to store food and holes in tree trunks.
Acorn Woodpeckers may exhibit slight geographical variation in their facial coloration, bill length and shape, and eye color among separate or isolated populations and subspecies across the bird’s range. Here the eyes of this particular bird are yellow whereas all the other birds' eyes of the same flock are white.
This was taken near Mather Point, South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA.
The evening sun makes portraiture dramatic. The right wing shows the pressure exerted by the unthrust of the air.

The Australasian darter or Australian darter (Anhinga novaehollandiae) is a species of bird in the darter family, Anhingidae. It is found in Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. It weighs around 2.6 kg and spans 86–94 cm (34–37 in) in length.
The Australasian darter is a slim bird measuring 86–94 cm (34–37 in) long with a snakelike slender neck. The male has black plumage with a white streak down the side of its head and neck, while the female has white underparts.

The Goldenrod is a bitter astringent and relaxant herb that reduces inflammation. However, this wasp here finds its pollen specially soothing.
