Per un pugno di dollari,

Per un pugno di dollari è sufficiente

Comprare un nome e iscrivermi

Sulle strade polverose,

Per un pugno di dollari per le donne

E il sole,

E il sole per la mia anima.

In un mondo senza legge,

Con una pistola nella mano,

La vendetta mi guida

Attraverso venti desertici e cieli.

Clint Eastwood Stayed Here !

Part of the exhibits in the Trandamperiet museum which was right next to our cabin (38B). Love the arrangement and I couldn’t think of a better title. No prizes for guessing the reference!

Australian in-your-face Magpie. On our tour of the Wynnum Reserve we sat down at a picnic table to have a rest and have a drink of water. No sooner had we sat down than we were joined by 10 magpies who joined us at the table, on the seats, and on the ground. This one was on the table and walked right up to my me. (Excuse the insulting attempt at an Australian accent, this is my daughter's rendition of what the bird's look translates into.)

This is not really a river, but a lake, a quiet place where usually lovers go at night. What reminds me the C. Eastwood movie is that many years ago two youngs were found murdered just here. The case has never been solved.....

This Jeep is a good example of the incredible advances that have been made in movie technology in the last few decades, This movie was made in 1954. They actually cut this Jeep in half to make it look as though it had been sliced in half by a ray gun from a spaceship from another planet. Now, they could have made it look better with a computer generated simulation. A young Clint Eastwood had one line in this movie. Now, along with other movie relics, this Jeep is sitting in Fry’s Electronics store in Burbank, CA.

The wind creates an intricate pattern in the sand at the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park on the Utah-Arizona stateline. The "Totem Pole" formation is in the background. The rhythmic pattern and contours formed by the wind are ever-changing. I took this photograph shortly before dusk when the lowering sun warmed the colors and shadows of the dunes graceful shape.

The "Totem Pole" is one of the great icons of Monument Valley. It has appeared in many TV programs, commercials, and Hollywood movies, especially in Westerns. The movie "The Eiger Sanction" (1975) was filmed here with Clint Eastwood and George Kennedy on top of the Totem Pole. It has been designated off-bounds to climbers ever since.

Clint Eastwood (born May 31, 1930, San Francisco, California, U.S.) is an American film actor who emerged as one of the most popular Hollywood stars in the 1960s, known for his portrayal of tough individualists, first as The Man with No Name in Sergio Leone’s spaghetti western trilogy and later as such characters as Harry Callahan in the Dirty Harry series. Eastwood also found success as a director, earning Academy Awards for his work in The Unforgiven (1992) and Million Dollar Baby (2004).

He has appeared in over 60 films. His career has spanned 65 years and began with small uncredited film roles and television appearances. Eastwood has acted in multiple television series, including the eight-season series Rawhide (1959–1965).

It was obvious. Since the whole Star Wars trilogy has been a pretty much western from the beginning, it was about time to have a little visit from the-man-with-no-name, aka legendary bounty hunter. All I can wonder what he is searching from the Cantina, maybe a drink or a fugitive he is after? You know how much they pay, only this time in Imperial Credits, ugh!

This will lead us to an unknown mystery of a bounty hunter business, which is pretty much already taken over by IG-88, Boushh and Boba Fett, What will happen next? I don't know.

punk!

and while you're at it....

get off my laaawwwwwn

A vast ocean of darkness fills the rocky banks of Arizona's largest canyon. The fleeting embers of glowing rock fade fast as the sun sets for the day. Looking from above, the Man with No Name diligently scans the vast depths below. While no stranger to unfriendly encounters, the sheer vastness of this land - as well as the lack of knowledge of what dangers may lurk within it - compels this part-time gunslinger to have additional firepower by his side.

I've wanted to do this one for a while... one of my favorite movies ever. not entirely pleased with how it turned out.... but... here it is anyway.

La mia nuova PICTURE OF THE DAY su Freaking News ;-)

A little comedy moment from State Street in Santa Barbara. A night time window visit to a very cool record store reaps results. Even better was the fact I was sat in a bar opposite drinking a cocktail. Win, win! :)

Are there anymore famous quotes than "Well, Do Ya, Punk?" Gotta love a bit of Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry action.

Old Paria is a very beautiful area. There used to be an old movie set (town) there from the movie Josie Wales, till vandals burned it down. Sad how some people can't resist destroying things.

Some of those boulders are bigger than a car. This area isn't too far from the Wave and Coyote Buttes. You don't have a permit for this area.

Didn't have internet today till just recently, after our 7.0 earthquake yesterday. Really messed things up. Will be quite awhile rebuilding the highways, etc. Bad damage in most stores. We have had 614 earthquakes so far since the big one yesterday. The cats are really jumpy.

But, this to shall pass! :-)

Now we are having high winds with a big snow storm on the way.

It never gets boring living in Alaska.

That being said, I still love living here.

Jan, myself & our seven cats are doing fine.

Hope every one has a Great Weekend!

Being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk ?

Clint Eastwood aka the "Man with No Name" from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" This is a redo of a previous figure I made. The figure is painted by me with Citadel and Apple Barrel paints. The holster was part of a MinifigCat tactical Belt. The Revolver is a BrickArms Navy Revolver.

Lucky Luke in real trouble...

Done at work on scrap cardboard from a really small reference.

Another strange creature from Frye’s Electronics, in Burbank, CA. A Giant Ant from the movie, “Them” (1954). These creatures are hanging up there in the rafters and peeping around the corners at you, while you’re shopping for your cyber needs. Clint Eastwood (who is not credited in this movie) had one line in the film. This ant is huge and is approximately 40 feet across, at it's widest point.

With apologies to Clint Eastwood, and his classic movie western, A Fist Full of Dollars ... :-)
