Lágrima de Cristo (Clerodendron thomsoniae)
Clerodendrum thomsoniae is a species of flowering plant, native to tropical west Africa from Cameroon west to Senegal, but which found in Latin America an environment similar to that of the homeland, conducive to its development. It grows to 4 m (13 ft) tall, with ovate to oblong leaves.
The flowers have a peculiar shape - probably some botanist linked their shape to the possible shape of Jesus' tears during the crucifixion - with four white sepals that come together to form a "tulip" that supports the delicate red inflorescence with four petals and long stamens.
Lágrima de Cristo blooms all year round, especially in Spring and Summer. In temperate areas it requires shelter and an ice-free environment.
It is grown as an ornamental plant for its decorative two-colored flowers.
As if the name of the flower wasn't enough, I added a little more "tears" to the delicate petals.
They are the most beautiful flowers, for the most part keep on transforming and when it comes Autumn they really put out a show, I have several seedling from the Mother plant,
Please check the link bellow to see the flowers from 2 years ago I took with my D80.

Bleeding Heart Vine, also called Bleeding Glory - Bower, is native to tropical west Africa. It is a favored houseplant throughout much of the world, but it can be grown outdoors in zones 9 and higher. Outdoors, it loves morning sun and afternoon shade, and regular watering. Bleeding Heart Vine is a hungry plant, needing regular fertilization to flower well, especially when grown indoors. (Note: Clerodendrum thomsoniae should not be confused with another plant often called "Bleeding Heart."
Part of what makes the flowers of this plant plant so spectacular are the red petals (corolla) set off by the white calyx behind. The white calyx is made of up five sepals, which in most plants serve to protect the flower in bud and support the flower in bloom.

Clerodendrum ugandense, also called Rotheca myricoides, and commonly known as Blue Butterfly Bush. The flowers sport two hues of blue and truly resemble butterflies, especially the way they flock around the plant.

Glorybower is one of the easiest, most delightful tropical shrubs I know. It fills medians and surrounds homes. It's beautiful in bloom and in seed... in fact, it's spectacular! I love all its phases! Search my photostream for more views of this glorious plant.

Clerodendrum bungei, commonly known as rose glory bower, glory flower or Mexican hydrangea (though not a true Hydrangea), is a species of flowering plant in the deadnettle family, Lamiaceae. Native to China, it is commonly grown in gardens as an ornamental shrub. It has escaped from cultivation and is naturalized in the Americas.
Clerodendrum bungei is a deciduous shrub that grows up to 2 m in height. Its leaves are cordate (heart-shaped), 10–20 cm long and not quite as wide, and have coarsely toothed edges. The flowers, which appear in late summer, are coloured rose, crimson, or pink, and arranged in a conspicuous rounded terminal inflorescence known as corymb, which is up to 10 cm in diameter. As in other Clerodendrum species, the calyx is five-lobed. At the centre of each flower there is a slender tube c. 3–4 cm long which terminates in five spreading white lobes. While the flowers are flagrant, crushed leaves have an unpleasant odour.
Clerodendrum bungei was discovered in 1831 by Russian botanist Alexander von Bunge in Beijing during his long scientific expedition in East Asia. Two years later, he described it as C. foetidum on the account of the pungent smell of its leaves. Since that name had already been occupied by another species, German botanist Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel renamed it C. bungei in 1840. The genus name is composed of Greek words meaning "chance" and "tree" while the specific epithet honours Alexander von Bunge.

I saw this bright flower growing on a low bush along a path at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. I like the way some veins in its leaf are also pink. I have not seen the flower before.
Please say if you can name it for me.

The Blue Butterfly Bush produces large clusters of dainty, blue flowers that very much resemble little butterflies and thus the name. This is a tropical plant that can be grown as a root hardy perennial in the northern portions of its range (zone 9 and warmer) otherwise it makes an easy to grow container plant. In its native habitat it can reach 10-12'H but more typically it is kept as a 4-6'H shrub.
