Setting sun on the remaining trees discloses what the powers call progress. This is clearing for a road that borders a large park in the city of Wasilla, Alaska. The clearing cuts off a number of trails where I walked the dogs and was amazed that we had such a place in a densely populated area. Soon to be a paved road with traffic zooming by and new housing developments. The price for progress in a rapidly growing area. I guess we should enjoy what we have while we can as there is no going back. Sorry to rant and thanks for your visit!

This was one of my final shots I got during the Colorado Fall Color Photography Workshop by Light Chasing Photo Tours. The leaders, Nick Selway and Joe Garza were outstanding! If any of you are looking for a fall color workshop next year and enjoy meeting and making new friends while getting some great photo opportunities, be sure to check them out!
This female bushtit was picking these little insects off the leaves (aphids?) one at a time, Must take a lot to get a meal out of them!
More Adirondack beauty. This is from my drone but only about 80 feet high.
I hope everyone enjoys this image! :D
At last, clarity, of sorts. It took a while but there were actually lovely views to be had again on Sunday once the low lying mist had thinned out somewhat. There was even a nice dusting of snow on the tops of the higher peaks and some sunlight as well occasionally.
Doubt anyone will be getting conditions like this at the weekend.... weather looks decidedly dodgy nationwide! I'm pretty sure waterproofs will be the order of the day!
