Zocalo, Mexico City. Many rituals of spiritual cleansing are performed in the Zocalo of Mexico City during Christmas time.
You know, the feeling? Walking out into the light?
I went to the beach today and ended up posting more street shots, I'm faithful indeed!
Some of my favorite moments require that I stand knee-deep in numbingly-cold waters.

I'm looking forward to just hanging around the house this weekend...maybe puttering in the garden too.
Wishing you all a very happy weekend.

It is a custom to cleanse your hands and mouth prior to praying at Japanese temples.
At the purification fountain near the shrine's entrance, take one of the ladles provided, fill it with fresh water and rinse both hands. Then transfer some water into your cupped hand, rinse your mouth and spit the water beside the fountain.
You are not supposed to transfer the water directly from the ladle into your mouth or swallow the water. You will notice that quite a few visitors skip the mouth rinsing part or the purification ritual altogether.

"The Cleansing Dance" [5/52]
Sometimes we go into new spaces that are full of bad energy, we meet people who have a negative aura, and we just need to purify the air and get rid of bad intentions.
Sometimes art has a funny way of speaking to me when I need it most. I photographed this image, outside my parents house and with my moms help over 2 years ago. I created this image for a purpose and I didn't yet know what that purpose was. The last few days I sat down with the raw images and put together something I needed... I need to clean my air again.
verb (used with object)
1. to make clean.
2. to remove by or as if by cleaning: to cleanse sin from the soul.
I will be cleansed
--- Explore #434 ---
Inspired by Mark 1:41
"A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean."
Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: "See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them." Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere."
Day 233
Caught up again! Yay :) I took this today at my Oma's surprise party. And by "I took this" I mean "I forced Yasmin to take this for me". It wasn't as cold as I was expecting it to be, and I wanted to swim but I couldn't because the needle is still in for treatments . I'm at the hospital again now and I'm done in about an hour .
"Yes, to the darkest place that we know
Outside of the rider's domain
To the heart of the wood
To the hidden places beyond the briar thickets.
The dance must begin as dusk gathers around.
[...]
Bathe in the clear cold stream
Fresh water from the unsullied endless spring that flows from the
mountain
We will sing the most ancient song
Spark the fire upon dry tinder
The dance must begin as dusk gathers around"

Cait turned on the comfortable bed, slowly waking.
Today, she would start her fast. And meditate. Pick herbs. Make food and potions for the coming battle with the Kuo Toa. The council of healers was asking all healers to assist.
Cait looked down to see a pair of sandals beside her bed. "Walk a mile in these sandals," she thought, thankful for Naeve's hospitality. Cait had stashed away her raiders clothes and sea-boots in her trunk the night before.
Now, she knotted up her sandals and put on her dedicant's dress like a new skin.
Leaned over the washbasin, Cait began her first ritual - one that takes place before any other ritual: cleansing.
One sip of the potion and the injuries of the adventurer is healed! And with a bonus effect of getting a clean shave!
Week 9 outtake.
I don’t think I’ll forget this day that easily and I have this project to thank for that. This moment was not only a moment of creation, but it was, above all, a moment of contemplation. After shooting I just stood there, under the pouring rain, unable to move, as I was staring at all the beauty that was falling from the sky and embracing me amidst the singing trees.
Creating does not mean much if you can’t lose your heart and soul in it, sometimes. 🌿
