On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, hundreds of participants in Bread for the World's National Gathering Lobby Day met with their members of Congress and staff, urging Congress to provide a circle of protection around programs that affect low-income people in the U.S. and overseas during talks about budget cuts.

 

In the evening, Lobby Day participants joined together for a worship service to thank God for what had happened that day, and to share stories about their visits.
