Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Looking close on Friday is « flowers top view ». So I decided to go with a lens ball picture of another flower I stole from my neighbor’s backyard…Yes, I know it isn’t my first time stealing a plant from an innocent neighbor and I’m planning on informing my neighbor as soon as possible or as soon as the discussion about « thefts « becomes a main subject of our daily chitchat …

Meanwhile here is my picture. Unfortunately I don’t know what kind of flower is it since my botanical knowledge is almost non existant… Maybe I should ask my neighbor ? And then tell him that I’m stealing his plants for Flickr challenges …

Yellow-breasted Chat was one of the target birds. It was also the first bird we came across within five minutes. A sign that it was going to be a great day. Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Smyrna, DE.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

After checking out the weather forecast the night before, and using PhotoPills to determine where the sun would be rising, I trekked to the beach in Oshawa well before sunrise, and positioned my tripod awaiting the sunrise.

It wasn't long before many of the friendly passersby started chatting. "Good morning!", "What ya' shooting?", "Great weather for photography!", etc. Eventually I got chatting with a couple of local characters who told me their engaging life stories.

Did I miss my intended shot? You betcha! So I settled for this one instead which kind of represented my thoughts for the morning.

Those short, engaging conversations left an indelible mark...

As Annie said, " The sun will come up tomorrow!"

It's the people we meet along the way that make us appreciate the journey.

Tambayan, noun. Hangout. A frequently visited place.

This was my usual haunt during my visit to Bicol last year. I'd chitchat with all sorts of folks from 'round the neighbourhood or whip out my camera for a street candid or two. This one was taken right after a downpour.

I, and my five Stilt friends here, wish you, my flickr buddies and all the flickr, and to your families, a Wonderful and Happy Holidays... thank you very much for the kind, supportive and encouraging words, chitchat, chatter, banter and all the fun... I look forward to see and be inspired by your amazing and beautiful photographs in 2020!

The song of the yellow-breasted chat is a wonderful collection of sounds which the Cornell Lab of Ornithology describes as "streams of whistles, cackles, chuckles, and gurgles with the fluidity of improvisational jazz." I suspect this individual, nicely nestled in a mountain mahogany bush, was a recent arrival setting up its nesting territory. Spring is the best time to see and hear yellow-breasted chats, as they tend to be more secretive the rest of the year.

This might be the least post-processed photo I've posted on Flickr. The light and setting were quite nice sooc- the main adjustment was cropping the photo.

We experience this Mystery in three ways: as Silence, as Word, and as Understanding. Word, in this sense, refers to all there is, since we experience it as somehow directed at us: it “speaks to us.” Word has its origin in Silence. Unless silence “comes to word,” our utterance is mere chitchat. Word aims at understanding. Understanding, in turn, is that dynamic process in which we listen so deeply to the Word that it takes hold of us and leads us back to its source—to Silence. The Cappadocian Fathers of the fourth century referred to this dynamic process as “the circle dance of the Blessed Trinity.”

Lemonhead

Likes to shine

In the morning

Like the afternoon Sun

He likes being yellow

He thinks it's fun

He likes the flowers

More than the trees

He chitchats singsong songbird

As he hides in their leaves

Because he loves this movie and I love him.

Two women chat on their shared apartment balcony, sitting on the ledge and holding onto the fire escape ladder. It's much cooler outside ones apartment during the daytime when one has no A/C in Manila, Philippines.

I captured this photograph on board the Brim Explorer during our return journey from Trollfjord to Solvaer. As we headed towards the Trollfjord, the passengers on deck were immersed in conversation, capturing the stunning scenery with their cameras. However, on our way back, the weather took a turn, and rain and cold descended upon us. Despite the adverse conditions, I was intrigued to find two persons braving the elements on the deck. Their resilience and determination made for a compelling image… Brim Explorer, Lofoten, Norway.

A tightly cropped version of this same photograph is to be found under the title "Girl Talk". I had a second look at this photograph and have changed my mind about the tight cropping as I like the look better with more peripheral detail.

It is a very long story that I really don't want to rehash, but I have returned. Thank you to a small cadre of Flickr friends who sent Flickrmails regarding my impromptu absence, and those who just sent a few lines with updates, friendly chitchat, and a drink invitation!

This is actually my first Throwback Thursday photo, ever! And I would like to...

Enough of a chitchat! this is an old school from January, 2013. I've been playing with the new version of it for awhile, as a oldie doesn't do a justice for a bounty hunter as it should. This is not perfect and flawless, but it's Lego and all in-camera. All in-camera, you ask? It means what you see here is what you get, the effect around the Cad Bane character is really happening during I was photographing this. I do my shots like that, but I'm sure you already knew that, right!

Later Toshiyue , Poly, and I went across the bridge to Pontocho's Ozashiki. There we all played games and had idle chitchat about the weeks events.
