My favourite little critters are out again and it brings me such joy to see them stuffing their cheeks full of nuts and seeds!!!

Modeling for me on top of a neighbor's rock wall.

I believe this is an Eastern Chipmunk. They are very curious and it played hide-and-seek with me for 20 minutes, darting for cover one minute and peeking back up the next :)

Late afternoon sun providing the nice backlighting here.

Enjoy!

Shot (without prior planning) through a closed window in shadow on a late afternoon under a dim sky. I decided to use this image to test my camera's high ISO abilities and shot it at ISO 51200. I used standard software to remove the resulting color noise, but couldn't improve much in the way of focus. A better than expected result (thanks to noise reduction software). I also like the chipmunk's look of concentration.

I couldn't resist this cute little chipmunk scurrying around gathering the sunflower seeds. Luckily he stopped long enough to eat one too! One of those rare occasions I could actually snap a shot! St Elmo, Colorado.

I made it through the hurricane just fine, it was a long and violent one, until you are in it, you don't realize how relentless they are and this one was so big and long, it was over me for 24 hours.. Needless to say I don't care to do that one over! I want to thank you all for your prayers and concern.

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and fave my photo is really appreciated have a nice weekend everyone :)

It's time to make stocks for the long winter

Shot through a window, looks like the autofocus locked up on the brick facing.

This little chipmunk lives in my backyard and likes sunflower seeds..my other little friend comes from across the street to get peanuts.

This little chipmunk loves to visit my deck daily to hangout on these bricks & chill. Happy Friday my friends =)

I took this shot at Chinook Pass, Washington.

This little chipmunk posed for

a series of photos, and it worked for peanuts...or sunflower seeds.

Another shot in my multiples series, a Least Chipmunk seems to be sharing a secret with a friend. These little charmers were photographed in Roosevelt National Forest, Colorado.

I very rarely shoot at ISOs this high, but it was dark and raining (or pouring, depending on the moment). I'm impressed with what I got here. He was a nice little model.

This was an almost full frame shot, slightly cropped. Noise reduction and resizing to 1600 wide makes the noise pretty much disappear.
