Former Serie A hitman Dario Hubner insists Inter’s strike force is if anything ‘stronger’ after Romelu Lukaku left, but Alvaro Morata ‘can never’ replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.
The legendary ‘Bison’ was a hero for Calcio fans at Brescia and Piacenza in the early 2000s, taking the Capocannoniere title in 2002 with 24 goals in 33 games.
He cast his eye over the current Scudetto contenders and specifically their forward options.
“Inter are still a good team, Lazio, Napoli and Roma will have a good season and Juve will emerge again,” Hubner told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Milan can challenge for the title too, I think it’ll be six teams fighting it out and a great deal will also depend on the cup competitions. I still see the Nerazzurri out in front of everyone.”
Lukaku was their top scorer last season, but Hubner feels Inter have made the right picks with Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa, but also the arrival of coach Simone Inzaghi for Antonio Conte.
“Inter lost Lukaku, but now have three really good forwards and their front line is stronger now. They changed playing style with Inzaghi and this team can do really well.
“Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic can play together at Milan, but they both need to run pretty hard.”
Juventus also sold Ronaldo to Manchester United and the Capocannoniere is trickier to replace.

Juventus will face Romelu Lukaku immediately after he left Serie A, as the Bianconeri are drawn Chelsea in Group H of the Champions League. But the reigning champions are not the only threat.
The rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo’s farewell has overshadowed the Old Lady’s draw in the prestigious competition, as they are placed in Group H with Chelsea, Malmö FF and Zenit St Petersburg.
Juventus have faced the Blues four times in the Champions League and lost once against the Londoners in 2009.
The Bianconeri have played 2-2 in two of the matches and won 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium in 2012. This time, Chelsea are defending the trophy from 2020-21 and have reinforced their squad with Inter striker Lukaku, who left the Serie A champions earlier this month.
Russian opponents Zenit St Petersburg have played two games against Juventus in the Champions League, when the two met in the group stage back in 2008.
Alessandro Del Piero probably remembers the first leg well, as he bagged a nice free kick, but couldn’t help the Bianconeri overcome the Russian giants in the second leg, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
Massimiliano Allegri will also look forward to a special meeting against Malmö FF, who were his first opponents in the competition with Juventus in 2014.
Juventus then won 2-0 in both games against the Swedes, who were a great European force back in the 1980s.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has this evening provided updates on the wellbeing of both N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic.
Havertz on target
Tuchel and co. were of course back in action a short time ago.
The Blues made the trip to Anfield, aiming to keep alive their flawless opening to the new Premier League campaign.
When all was said and done, though, on the back of a hard-fought 90 minutes, Chelsea were forced to make do with a share of the spoils.
The capital giants actually took the lead in the clash, when Kai Havertz’s wonderful looping header found its way beyond Alisson and in at the back post:

The momentum, though, soon swung in the favour of Liverpool, as Reece James was sent for an early bath, before Mohamed Salah stepped up to slot away the ensuing penalty in style.
But Chelsea, to their credit, regathered their composure at the interval, before a defensive masterclass over the 2nd 45 ensured that Tuchel’s men emerged with a fully deserved point.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, some personnel news has been forthcoming on Wednesday regarding two Chelsea players.
Chelsea would hold an open training session on Wednesday morning, but as per football.london journalist Adam Newson, N’Golo Kante, Christian Pulisic and Haim Ziyech were not involved.
N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic aren’t involved in Chelsea’s open training session. Nor is Hakim Ziyech but that isn’t a surprise.

Jorginho impressing
Jorginho is currently in the midst of a pretty sensational year both with his club and country.
The Italian has been a key cog in Chelsea’s side since Thomas Tuchel took over at the back end of January.
The German would guide the Blues to a top-four finish in the Premier League and also just their second-ever Champions League trophy.
Jorginho would play a key part in Chelsea’s European success, starting every Champions League game barring the 2nd leg vs Atletico Madrid, which he was suspended for.
The 29-year-old would then depart Chelsea to join up with Italy for Euro 2020.
Gli Azzurri were not considered clear favourites at the start of the tournament, but made it all the way to the final before seeing off England on penalties.
‘It would be a dream for him to return to Italy’
Jorginho has since returned to Chelsea were he has once again begin as a key cog for the Londoners.
Despite currently being in the midst of arguably his best-ever year as a professional footballer, Jorginho’s agent has decided to speak about his client’s future in a recent interview.
In said interview, the midfielder’s agent stated it would be Jorginho’s dream to return to Italy, hopefully after winning the World Cup:

AC Milan’s intention was always to add another midfielder to the team but Franck Kessie’s injury has made this even more apparent. However, they are set to miss out on one of their targets, a report claims. According to Daniele Longo, Lyon and Rennes are both very keen on Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has been linked quite a lot with Milan this summer. It’s a double blow for the Rossoneri, with the Chelsea man now set to leave ‘in the coming days’.

The feeling is, however, that Bakayoko was never a primary target for the Rossoneri but more so a plan B. Romelu Lukaku admits he personally talked to Simone Inzaghi, pushing to join Chelsea from Inter as the Nerazzurri had rejected three offers.
Lukaku completed a €115m move to Stamford Bridge this summer, returning to West London after eight years.
The Premier League giants had been in talks with the Serie A champions for a long time, but Inter rejected as many as three offers, forcing the Belgian star to step in and ask his club to let him return to London.
“With Chelsea’s third offer, I knew it was serious and I wasn’t there anymore,” Lukaku told Hln.be.
“Chelsea offered €110m plus Zappacosta, but Inter said no, so I went to Inzaghi’s office asking to find an agreement.
“I told Inzaghi: ‘Inter pulled me out of s… but I wanna leave only because of Chelsea.”
Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 games during his two-year spell at Inter. He had joined the Nerazzurri in a €75m deal from Manchester United. He won one Serie A title during his time in Milan.
He scored his first goal with Chelsea in their 2-0 win against Arsenal on August 22. The 28-year-old has signed a contract until June 2026 with the Blues.

The former Roma defender had talked about a return to Serie A and was flattered by Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti’s interest.
But the outlet reports Lyon are serious about securing a deal with the Blues and have made a move for the Italy international.
The report claims the Ligue 1 side can close a deal within the next few hours, as the Brazilian-born left-back is looking for a way out of Chelsea.
The 27-year-old, capped 19 times by the Azzurri, joined Chelsea from Roma in January 2018 for a reported €20m, but has struggled to establish himself in the English capital and is looking for regular playing time to secure a place in Mancini’s squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Tottenham is hardly blessed with consistent right-backs, and Nuno Espírito Santo’s outfit is on the hunt for Barcelona’s Brazilian international Emerson Royal, according to The Telegraph.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Spurs levied an official bid for the former Real Betis standout, offering Serge Aurier in part exchange for his services, only to be rebuffed by Barcelona outright.
With the bid rejected, Spurs could certainly try to return with a loan proposal for the 22-year-old, with an included buy option if the club decides not to return with an improved permanent deal. But with the Lilywhites’ current options being just Matt Doherty, the aforementioned Aurier, and Japhet Tanganga (who is being pressed into service on the right-hand side), a 2nd offer for Emerson seems inevitable.

FC Chelsea NEWS : Jurgen Klopp had some choice words for Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta following Liverpool’s draw with the Blues earlier today. The match was a heated affair, with both clubs hoping to gain an early advantage on their Premier League title rivals. Chelsea went 1-0 up in the first half after Kai Havertz nodded Reece James’ corner past Alisson. Christensen on the up
Danish international Christensen has become a fairly crucial member of Chelsea’s backline of late.
He would struggle for minutes during the first half of last season, but was handed a number of starts in the Premier League following Thomas Tuchel’s arrival in late January.
Christensen has also started all three of the Blues’ league outings so far this term, helping his side to clean sheets vs Crystal Palace and Arsenal as well as securing a point against Liverpool despite going down to 10 men shortly before halftime.
However, despite regaining a starting spot under Tuchel, the defender’s long-term future at Chelsea has long been up in the air, with Christensen now in the final 12 months of his contract.
In turn, if the Dane were to reach January without penning fresh terms, he could sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club, and then leave for free next summer.

That scenario does not look set to play out, though. The Athletic reported at the back end of last month that Chelsea were close to finalising a new long-term contract with Christensen.
That contract was said to be a four-year deal with the option of an extra year:

Premier League outfit West Ham United have this evening confirmed the signing of defender Kurt Zouma from London rivals Chelsea.

Speculation surrounding the future of French international Zouma had of course ramped up in a major way of late.
With all of Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and even the emerging Trevoh Chalobah ahead of him in Thomas Tuchel’s defensive pecking order, it had long looked likely that Zouma would be moved on this summer.
A host of clubs, in turn, were tipped as potential landing spots for the 26-year-old, still highly thought of across the continent.
A clear front-runner, though, had long emerged in the Zouma sweepstakes.
The outfit in question? West Ham United.
In turn, on the back of word coming to the fore in the media this week that an agreement had been found between the respective boards at Stamford Bridge and the London Stadium, a transfer was labelled as imminent.
And, on Saturday evening, an official announcement has finally been forthcoming:

West Ham will play host to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon as they look to continue their solid start to the season.
The Hammers would come from behind to beat Newcastle United 4-2 on the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign.
West Ham would then see off 10-man Leicester City by four goals to nil on Monday evening.
As a result, they are no doubt confident of picking up the win over Crystal Palace this week.
The Eagles have not had the best start to the season, they lost to Chelsea on the opening weekend and were held by Brentford last week having failed to score a single goal in either match.

Moyes on Zouma
Ahead of Saturday’s game, David Moyes would speak to the press on Friday.
The Scotsman would discuss a number of topics in his presser, including Kurt Zouma.
West Ham have been linked with the Chelsea defender quite heavily of late. And on Friday, Moyes confirmed that West Ham had an offer accepted for Zouma and he is currently undergoing his medical:

AC Milan are hoping to close a deal for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in the next 48 hours, according to a report.It was reported last night by Gianluca Di Marzio for Sky Italia (via MilanNews) somewhat out of the blue that Milan are pushing to secure the return of Bakayoko, a deal that would not exclude the arrival of Yacine Adli from Bordeaux or vice versa.According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri have gone back in strongly for the Frenchman and the next 48 hours will be decisive in their pursuit. The management are negotiating with Chelsea regarding the loan of the 26-year-old and are working on what salary he would earn.Talks are also on with the entourage of the player for this very reason, and for his part Bakayoko would be happy to return to Milanello after he spent the 2018-19 season on loan under Gennaro Gattuso.

Tammy Abraham revealed his talk with Roma coach Jose Mourinho was ‘important’ to convince him of joining the club and stressed he has arrived at the Giallorossi to ‘win trophies’.
The former Chelsea striker arrived ahead of the new season and has already made an impact in the Roma attack.
Abraham made a sensational debut with two assists against Fiorentina and helped the club qualify for the Europa Conference League with a 3-0 win over Trabzonspor on Thursday.
The Chelsea striker admitted his talks with sporting director Tiago Pinto and coach Mourinho helped convince him to join La Lupa.
“In the last year at Chelsea, I played less than I hoped for,” Abraham said at a press conference. “It was important to talk to Mourinho.
“I talked to Mourinho and Tiago Pinto explained the club’s ambition to me. I arrived at Roma not only to score goals, but above all to win trophies and we hope to be able to do so already this year.
“The Conference is a complicated trophy, but we will try.”
Abraham was asked if he prefers to play alone up front or if he can partner Eldor Shomurodov.
“To tell the truth, I wasn’t born an attacker. I started at right wing. I’m used to covering multiple roles and playing in different formations,” he continued.
“I didn’t play as a centre forward; it depends on the coach’s decision.”
Abraham realised Serie A is more tactical and claims the championship in Italy is ‘more balanced’.

Milan are on the verge of closing a deal with Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who spent last term on loan at Napoli.
Sky Sport Italia reports Milan are moving on to the next target this summer after having reached an agreement with Roma over Alessandro Florenzi, who will join on a paid loan with an option to buy.
There could be new meetings to iron out the last details with the Giallorossi, but Milan are meanwhile looking for a new midfielder too.
Bakayoko, who spent 2018-19 on loan at San Siro, seems set for a return to Milanello this summer and the broadcaster reports the Rossoneri are edging closer to a done deal with the Blues midfielder.
The 27-year-old’s contract with Chelsea expires in June 2022 and the report doesn’t mention the details in the potential deal with the Londoners.
Bakayoko spent 2020-21 on loan at Napoli and was given 44 competitive appearances with the Partenopei.
The French midfielder has played 63 times in Serie A across his two spells in the League and seems set for a third stint in Italian football.

Roma have officially announced Tammy Abraham’s €40m move from Chelsea.
The Giallorossi have replaced Edin Dzeko, who moved to Inter, with the English 23-year-old, who signed a deal until June 2026 with La Lupa.
Abraham has left Chelsea after 82 competitive appearances, contributing 30 goals and 12 assists in the process, and Roma will pay €40m including bonuses and a percentage of a future sale.
“AS Roma are delighted to be able to confirm the signing of England international Tammy Abraham.
Abraham, 23, joins the club from Premier League side Chelsea – with whom he won the Champions League earlier this year – for a fee of €40m.
“Abraham, meanwhile, has put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract with the club that runs until June 30, 2026.”
