Taken in Tasmania at an old school reenactment event

Meet Calpernia, she may not be cute, beautiful and attractive, but the scars all over her body tell the story of her sad past.

I was tired to create too perfect characters and see everywhere female characters that look like plastic dolls... not everyone is perfect! Calpernia is not, luckily :P Tired of Barbies!

Yes I know, I have to fix the neckseam :(

this was a very quick edit, but i have been spending some time updating all my avatars for my roleplay characters. lelutka 3.1 made most of my shapes unusable and so it was back to shaping! the finished products made the task so worth it ♥

Revisited an interesting tree with more favourable conditions in Ashdown Forest

Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

Just wandered through the national park without any plans and preparation in an attempt to photograph the forest for the first time. Quite happy with my first result.

Joshua Tree National Park is an American national park in southeastern California, east of San Bernardino and Los Angeles and north Palm Springs. It is named after the Joshua trees (Yucca brevifolia) native to the Mojave Desert. Originally declared a national monument in 1936, Joshua Tree was redesignated as a national park in 1994. Encompassing a total of 790,636 acres (1,235.4 sq mi; 3,199.6 km2) – slightly larger than the state of Rhode Island – the park includes 429,690 acres (671.4 sq mi; 1,738.9 km2) of designated wilderness. The park includes parts of two deserts, each an ecosystem whose characteristics are determined primarily by elevation: the higher Mojave Desert and the lower Colorado Desert. The Little San Bernardino Mountains traverse the southwest edge of the park.

Still windy today but apart from sleet and rain we also had a few sunny moments. The boys were happy to be outside again and wind is something they don't mind unless it's a real storm. This photo shows that they get along quite well, at least most of the time, but they are both dominant characters and that can easily lead to disputes. The photo also shows that the little Dragon is now already as big as Fynn.

You can always find some amazing spots in downtown Ottawa at night or anytime. Happy weekend my friends =)

It was a clear summer night when Cosmy’s starship landed on Earth. He came a long way from the stars, searching for other planets and life forms, cruising through solar systems. But among all the planets he had been before, he found Earth the most beautiful. The nature, the animals, the people, its sparkling colours, almost hurting his eyes the first time he saw the sun shining. He learned to love this place and cried when he saw human beings wasting their treasure. After a month of explorations, something went wrong with his spaceship. He could not come back home. At first he did not feel bad about it, earth was much better than his hometown, or should we say homestar. But as the time passed and winter came, the cold weather, the ice and the snow, reminded him about his home. About his family, about his people. So he decided to find a way to come back home, but he cannot do it alone. Would you help him ?

From the very, very, very great phototour two yesterday. I'm so glad I noticed this dried up, dead rose after I took a couple photos of fresh, bright and shining roses. I think I love this one the most.

>> Character.

Weirdly, when I looked closer on the rose on the second photo when editing, I thought it looked like some sort of chinese dragon.

Last night was a productive one, I suddenly felt the urge to arrange my furniture .. (at 3 a.m.) So I did it. My tomcat (simultaneously) felt the urge to just freak out, he ran around in the apartment like he was on fire, good thing we were both able to handle this act quietly. Still awake at half past four, cooking some hot chocolate, eating microwave popcorn and editing photos.

Too bad that I wished my friend lots of pretty snow, of course now it's snowing again ..

In the Depths of Neon Dreams

In the flicker of dusk, the screen glows bright,

Pixels dance and shimmer in the fragile night.

Whispers of realms where shadows conspire,

A siren's call from the depths of desire.

Beyond the threshold of reality's sigh,

A cybernetic world spins a tapestry high.

Distant echoes—a jester's laugh,

In this surreal carnival, I slip through the path.

Time unwinds like a fraying thread,

Caught in the maze where the lost dare tread.

Digital phantoms with eyes like the void,

Conjure reflections of dreams long destroyed.

Sleep, a stranger with a face veiled in mist,

Waits in the corners, patiently kissed

By the haunting glow of my midnight affair,

As characters twirl in the electric air.

Thoughts swirl like smoke in the neon haze,

On the edge of lucidity, I linger and gaze.

A dream within dreams, a cycle unspooled,

In this Lynchian junction, I find myself fooled.

What price do I pay for these moments of play?

The clock keeps its secrets, while shadows decay.

A whisper, a flutter, as daylight draws near,

Reality beckons, yet I hold it in fear.

In the depths of these echoes, I gather my thoughts,

A tapestry woven with battles I've fought.

Each pixel a fragment, a memory's thread,

Yet in the silence of morning, I'm heavy with dread.

So here in the ruins of this fragmented night,

Lost in the labyrinth, between wrong and right,

I ponder the dawn, as it quietly creeps,

Wondering still—was it worth losing sleep?

Some of my vintage advertising character figures including Harry Hood (H.P. Hood Dairy), Florida Orange Bird, Big Boy, Shoney’s Bear, Sleepy Bear (Travelodge), and the Esso Oil Drop Man.

That someone could be so tough and yet so tender , is a wonderful thing .A wise person once told me never ever confuse gentleness with weakness , how very true. Some people are born with class , some believe it comes with wealth position or possesions , it was just stamped all over his DNa.

A rare self portrait made on a grey Winters day when the light outside was very poor. I dislike this grey time of year. If I could I would hibernate until Spring.

Character revealed in the trials of life is true character.

My latest mountaineering trip to New Zealand was intense. I'm not quite sure how to best approach it. But I would like to make a record if for nothing else for my own reflection.

The trip shots will come soon but it's the story that accompanies them that has me caught in its web of emotions and has had me searching for the reality and truth behind the events that unfolded.

I have my own experience and my view on how things unfolded but I will attempt to present the experience as unbiased as possible without discounting my own thoughts and views.

Trip report to start soon...

“Character is the foundation stone upon which one must build to win respect. Just as no worthy building can be erected on a weak foundation, so no lasting reputation worthy of respect can be built on a weak character.“
