Originally delivered new as Hong Kong Citybus FC7431. Former Cedar Coaches, Reg J605 CEV, prior to that, Talisman 306, and Impact Travel, where it was re-registered as ONT46 for a while.
It has now emerged in its smart new Herberts Travel Livery and stands in the road outside Mardens ready to depart.

The Dachs CEV isa development of the Leopard tank in Voightländische service. It utilises the same basic chassis, but with modifications to allow for more room inside. Again, the “Pullover” package is installed, with ERA blocks added to the upper glacis, and the side skirts were lined with rubber layers, just like on the Leopard 1b.
More of an APC than a real CEV, the Dachs is a combat engineer section carrier, capable of carrying 8 operators, of which 7 can deploy via the large roof hatch on the rear, or the two other smaller hatches. It is armed with a variety of machine guns, ranging from a manually-controlled 7.62mm to a remotely-controlled 12.7mm OWS. Smoke grenade launchers are also present on the four corners.
For mine-clearing duties, the Dachs can be equipped with mine rollers and the Carpet mine-clearing system, consisting of 18 rockets that can be fired separately or all at once. These contain a fuel-air explosive warhead which spreads a cloud of fuel fumes that are then detonated. The overpressure from the explosion destroys most mines. There is also electronic equipment inside the vehicle for detonating roadside bombs or jamming detonation signals.
Other options include a dozer blade, and an A-frame crane, capable of lifting 35 tons when the spades are deployed. The winch is installed where the large hatch was, and has a 45 tons direct pull capacity.
