This female blue dasher is perched upon a stake in the garden at the farm, and was kind enough not to move while I got this shot lined up just right. That's a rose in the background.
The medieval historic center which was heavily damaged by the earthquake of 24 August 2016, rises again in its timeless grandeur, with reconstruction underway.
Close up and looking into the center of a blooming dahlia. The flowers in my yard are gifts that keep giving pleasure and inspiration. I normally backlight my subjects but this has bounced light as the source and I found it difficult to not have the colors feel over-saturated. I have a bit of a learning curve to overcome but am ok with the challenge.
Some views down the main street of Walpack Center, NJ. The town was slowly vacated in the 50's through *0's for the Tocks Island Dam Project which later became the Delaware Water Gap National Forest.

Thanks for your comments and faves, they are truly appreciated.
I took this shot over one year ago and had not yet posted it. This is the inside of the center and illustrates the ornate nature of its architecture.

This is part of the Houston Space Center. I went on a tour to a huge warehouse to see people simulating living on Mars. If you drill in you can just see some Texas Longhorn cattle. The tour guide said it has something to do with Texas A&M. Anyway, other then the tour, the Space Center was pretty interesting and I have the T-Shirt ..:)
