Looking at the south celestial pole.
About 65 minutes worth of shots each with 20 second long exposure and about a 5 second interval in between each shot.
I loaded all the photos into Photoshop as layers and set the blend mode to 'Llghten'. That caues all the layers to form into the star trail.
I also took one light-painted photo of the stone work so I overlaid the light-painted stone work part into the final image.
I didn't bother with gaps or aircraft lights..
What does it mean to you?
For me, it is heaven touching earth or man's striving for oneness with the Infinite!

Marie Lou : I don't know... All I know is that we have to fulfill our goals and dreams about what we currently know about the world
Friend : Totally, to go forward in our world, we need to accomplish goal, but are they real ? Or are we just a bit of imaginary ?
Marie Lou : I think we are all imaginary, our minds, our reality, our perception, nothing could be real. All locked behinf the curtain of stimulus of mind
Friend : Right...
Marie Lou : *sigh* Don't be troubled (Marie Lou smiled gently), let just our false reality be replaced by our dreams
Friend : (smile back at Marie Lou) Yeah, maybe one day we will figure it out
Marie Lou : That would be great ! Or at least I hope so. Do you wish to look at the stars with me ?
Friend : You bet !

I was more than happy to undertake a 4 am stint to capture this image of Corfe Castle with a Milky Way backdrop. The level of light pollution from the village was far less than I expected. Montage of two exposures for the sky and for the f/g which was pretty dark. Passing cars did light it up but not to my liking so it was 4min @ ISO 1600. As well as a bright passing satellite I might have caught a stray Lyrid meteor.
