Project 52 Assignment 10 was to design a Classical music CD cover for a string Quartet. Not having access to instruments or musicians meant a bit of thinking out of the box.

Wore this to Nov. TG meeting.It was only my 3rd time out as a woman.

I recently bought a new DVD writer that supports 'Lightscribe' - basically you can burn discs as normal, but once you've done, you can design a label, turn the disc over and it will laser etch the label side.

Supposedly it's up to 600DPI in best quality (which can take up to 25 mins). It's significantly quicker if you just print text titles on there (less than 5 mins). Special lightscribe media is needed to make this work (but it's not expensive).

Added to the 'Equipment' group - it's not camera equipment, but it's the sort of thing that is useful and may be of interest.

Single blue-gelled 430EX III flash with 25-degree Rogue grid fired across the back of the CD stack from camera left perpendicular to the camera. Several shots revealed that very small changes in the position and angle of the flash caused large changes in the photo.

Heute war ČD 371.201 mit einem Sonderzug aus Prag nach Berlin unterwegs. Eine sehr lange Standzeit im Bahnhof Berlin-Schönefeld Flughafen konnte für Nachtaufnahmen genutzt werden.

Of all the things my photos have been used for, I think album covers for musical groups makes me smile the most. I've been lucky enough to have four different musical groups use my work for their CD covers, but they always picked a photo to purchase. This time I had a band ask me to send them several options for their consideration. The instructions were only: "A pink or purple sunset with some kind of 'dreamy' nature scene." So this is option #3
