The RSL - Rolling Stock Lease locomotive, a Siemens Vectron MS (193 984-2 D-RAILL, sub type A01-11q), is captured at work while on hire to České dráhy (ČD). The locomotive, named "Anička," is leading the EC 240 "Košičan" service, traveling from Košice to Praha hl.n. (Prague Main Station).

I had so many dress ups this year that there were way too many pics for my yearly outfits collage. Some didn’t make the cut!
I loved the colours that came off the shiny CD. I added some glitter detail around the edges that I thought would go well with the shiny colours.

I saw some photos using this technique yesterday and knew I'd have to have a go. I've tried many plastic items today;
some work better than others and cd cases work very well, producing a wonderful array of colours, and each case makes different colours and patterns.
It's easy enough to do, but you do need a polarizing filter.
This is taken using a completely white computer screen (which apparently emits linearly polarized light) as a backdrop - you can keep it white but by turning the filter the appearance of the image background in the viewfinder goes from white through shades of grey to completely black.

As we set out on the evening to shoot, with the van full of wardrobe for the band, and a few props, we didn't have any firm ideas where we were going. Urban was the theme...and nothing too trite. We found this in the downtown Orlando area with new chemical tubes and new concrete...and the walls hadn't been put up yet...and no "no trespessing" signs...even though, in Rock and Roll, not sure if that would have mattered :-}. When I saw the highlights clipping in the white, overcast sky through the black tubes, and contrasts...at that moment, I believed I had the "shot" we were looking for. Post shot tones and an overcast of "Amber" included.
