Torniamo a casa la sera o, se siamo in casa, cerchiamo di fare una magia per cambiare la stanza dove abbiamo lavorato tutto il giorno e farla diventare un posto più nostro, calmo. Spegniamo le luci centrali e scegliamo una frequenza calda che filtra attraverso la ceramica, aggiungiamo qualche goccia di olio essenziale puro e il profumo che si diffonde piano nella stanza. La lampada “sun” è entrambe le cose: luce bella e profumo sempre diverso.
Si mettono 5 o sei gocce nell'incavo superiore e si accende così che la lampadina interna scaldi la ceramica e permetta agli olii di dissolversi nell'aria.
Se non mettiamo l’olio essenziale può essere un punto luce bello vicino al divano o sul comodino. Quattro gocce di essenza e diventa un diffusore grazie al calore sprigionato dalla lampadina interna.
Un regalo per case molto amate o che hanno bisogno di una firma tutta nostra.

This image was the cover of our first 1971 parts catalog for dealers and retail mail order customers in the US. We were one of the first distributors of chopper parts for Paughco, Santee Industries, Cycle Shack and others. At one time we were the largest reseller of ARCO brand motorcycle tires in the country. I molded and painted this bike in my garage during my "metalflake" period. That's 20 over Wayne Engineering girder fork that we sold exclusively from our shops. Arlen's very first handlebars and 2 inch D&D Distributors drag pipes were cutting edge parts at the time. Scanned from a 1971 b/w Kodak print and post processed in Photoshop CS, best viewed large.

BACKSTORY: Got up around 7:07AM, made it out driving by 7:49AM and went out until 12:00 noon for a total of 04 hours, 11 minutes. Spent $87.79 plus ~$3.07 gas for 30.6 miles of driving (27.9mpg @ $2.8/G), for a total cost of $90.86. We drove to 20 yard sales, stopping at 10 (50%) of them. We made 64 purchases (71 items) for a total estimated value of $501.51, leading to a profit/savings of $410.65. So in essence, we multiplied our $90.86 investment by 5.5. (Also, if you think about it, the profit counts for even more when you consider that we have to earn $468.08 on the job, pre-tax, in order to take home the $410.65 in cash that we saved. How long does $410.65 of disposable income take to earn, vs the 4hrs, 11min we spent here having fun?) Anyway, this works out to a *post-tax* wage of $82.13/hr as a couple or $41.06/hr per person.
