My cat seems to think that my home is his castle. He likes to sleep in the sun on the window sill. Then he likes to sleep between me and whatever I may be trying to read
Whereas neighborhood dogs seem to have elaborate rituals of greeting us, this cat just tries to bring us under submission by the force of her gaze as a guardian of our galaxy.
Herbie is a little over 9 weeks old now the eyes are starting to loose the blue which is a shame but he is still a beautiful cat.
This gorgeous kitty befriended us today at our allotment. We have seen her before but she's never been friendly. Today she would not leave us alone, I wanted to bring her home!
Mommy Cat, mother of the exiled Lightning, stopping by for breakfast.
While I was away she was feed by Linda, my house/cat sitter.
These cats ‒ and the others, in my pictures ‒ are wealthy stray cats, in fact they are a kind of "self employed pets", or maybe, better said, they are independent, or "half-time pets": they live in the street, and sleep and grow up their kittens in some hidden and safe places, but they are fed daily by charitable people, in some safe corners. They come all, at breakfast or dinner time -- they have an excellent interior, biological "chronometer", they are never late !‒ , waiting calmly for the food. Their life is not very hard, they are free, but, of course, they must endure the rain and cold etc., and they are more exposed than house pets to premature death by traffic accidents etc.
