Parliament’s West Block reflected in the windows of the CD Howe building. The green grass and glass partition are a feature of an outdoor seating area with raised stone bleachers which surrounds an open courtyard / square - a popular spot for workers, residents and visitors to enjoy an outdoor picnic lunch during the summer work weeks.
“The C.D. Howe Building (French: Édifice C.D.-Howe) is an office tower in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, that is the home of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, the Office of the Auditor General and other smaller tenants. It was built by Olympia and York. The federal government sold the land to O&Y for a dollar and signed an agreement to lease the final building for a set rate until 2012. The eleven-story building was opened in 1978. It was named after C. D. Howe, a noted federal minister in the 1930s”

Thank you once again to all the volunteers that made this excursion possible. Many thanks as well to: the Bennett Levin family, U.S. Marine Corps, Dunkin', SEFCU, and Amtrak (who loaned the excursion two baggage cars.) #teamwork

Well, I am still shooting more portraits recently than cityscapes, landscape and archtiecture. But I am in Berlin at the moment and I brought my tripod and camera as I always did, when travelling. So I took this shot (and some more coming up) from the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus in Berlin, which is located right behind the Reichstag-Building, where the German Congress meets. It is used for political meetings and more. It also has an symbolical act. It connects western and eastern Berlin above the Spree River which besides the Berlin Wall devided Berlin until 1989. Just three days ago Germany celebrated its 25th anniversary of the reunion.
Have a great day, folks.
Miami is a seaport city at the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Florida and its Atlantic coast. As the seat of Miami-Dade County, the municipality is the principal, central, and the most populous city of the Miami metropolitan area and part of the second-most populous metropolis in the southeastern United States.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Miami's metro area is the eighth-most populous and fourth-largest urban area in the U.S., with a population of around 5.5 million.
Miami is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade. In 2012, Miami was classified as an Alpha−World City in the World Cities Study Group's inventory. In 2010, Miami ranked seventh in the United States in terms of finance, commerce, culture, entertainment, fashion, education, and other sectors. It ranked 33rd among global cities. In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Miami "America's Cleanest City", for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets, and citywide recycling programs.
According to a 2009 UBS study of 73 world cities, Miami was ranked as the richest city in the United States, and the world's fifth-richest city in terms of purchasing power. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and is the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.
Miami has the third tallest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises. Downtown Miami is home to the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, and many large national and international companies. The Civic Center is a major center for hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries.
For more than two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the "Cruise Capital of the World", has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world. It accommodates some of the world's largest cruise ships and operations and is the busiest port in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.
Metropolitan Miami is the major tourism hub in the American South, number two in the U.S. after New York City and number 13 in the world, including the popular destination of Miami Beach.

Florence, capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto. The Galleria dell'Accademia displays Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture. The Uffizi Gallery exhibits Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and da Vinci’s “Annunciation.”

Running a good six-and-a-half hours late going by the trains original timings from the 1960's, SRHC's S303, P22 & T357 are far closer to their actual timetable in 2022 as they glide through Melbourne's suburbs on the shining Southern Aurora passenger train, and catch the first glimpse of the city skyline as they cross Airport West Viaduct hauling THNSW train 6L63 from Albury to Melbourne as a part of St James Rail's Southern Aurora 60th Anniversary Tour from Sydney to Melbourne & Return. 24/4/22
This was the first time the stainless-steel train had arrived in Melbourne for a number of years, with a global pandemic also happening in the meantime!
