The Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention is named for Dr. James Robert Cade, the inventor of Gatorade. Dr. Cade was a professor of renal medicine at the University of Florida and it was there that he invented Gatorade in the 1960s. His original laboratory has been brought to the museum, along with an exhibition called "Sweat Science" that showcases his work. The museum is a relatively new addition to the downtown Gainesville landscape and its unique turret shape is immediately recognizable. Here, I've photographed the Petty Family Wing.
