I was so impressed with the results of my Caffenol cross-process earlier that the same evening I tried processing a roll of Ilford PanF Plus I had finished off the night before at a San Jose Sharks game.

This was shot with a Canonet QL-17 and processed with a slightly different version of the Caffenol recipe, this one with a lot more vitamin C than I've seen elsewhere: 300ml water, 18g washing soda, 4g vitamin C crystals (normally I've seen about 1g suggested) and 12g coffee crystals. (I've since been told that the extra vit-c helps prevent the film from fogging up which is known to happen with PanF and Caffenol.)

Developed for 10 mins @ 20C with inversions for the first minute then 3 slow inversions every 30 seconds thereafter.

I didn't use a stop bath, just washed twice with 300 ml of water @ 20C (this stuff stinks up your stop bath baaad), then fixed with Ilford fixer per box instructions and a normal final wash.

The negatives were scanned with an Epson Perfection V600.

Whether you are a C++ developer or interested in Python programming, it's essential to know the basic difference between the two programming languages. C++ was introduced to make programming easier and more pleasant for individuals; Python has become popular for its concise and easily readable code, earning huge respect amongst budding Python developers.

Python is a high-level, general purpose programming language that helps programmers write clear and logical code. Alternatively, C++ is an object-oriented programming language that allows procedural programming and database management system with full control over hardware. To get more of an insight into the two #programming_languages, let's look at the essential differences between them.

Usage. With Python, it's easy to write code as the number of lines is comparatively less. With C++, writing code is much more difficult due to the complex syntax.

#Performance. In terms of performance, Python is a dynamic language that reduces complexity, thus optimizing programmer efficiency. C++ is a statically-typed language and surpasses Python in performance as it creates a faster and more compact runtime code.

Applications. #Python is widely used in #machine_learning. It allows the management of a massive amount of data cost-effectively. For analyzing data, and statistical data, analysts rely on the Python language. With the Python programming language, it finds applications in big data technologies. C++ helps in creating embedded systems, like smartwatches and multimedia systems in automobiles. Developers use C++ for creating high performance microcontroller programs; it finds incredible applications in game development. for more visit: princetonits.com/services/python-development-company/

Health benefits of persimmon fruit

Persimmon fruit is moderately high in calories (provides 70 calories/100 g) but very low in fats. Its smooth textured flesh is a very good source of dietary fiber. 100 g of fresh fruit holds 3.6 g or 9.5% of recommended daily intake of soluble and insoluble fiber.

Persimmons contain health benefiting flavonoid poly-phenolic anti-oxidants such ascatechins and gallocatechins in addition to having an important anti-tumor compound, betulinic acid. Catechins found to have anti-infective, anti-inflammatory and anti-hemorrhagic (prevents bleeding from small blood vessels) properties.

Some of other anti-oxidant compounds found abundantly in this fruit are vitamin-A, beta-carotene, lycopene, lutein, zea-xanthin and cryptoxanthin. Together, these compounds work as protective scavengers against oxygen-derived free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a role in aging and various disease processes.

Zea-xanthin, an important dietary carotenoid, is selectively absorbed into the retinal macula lutea in the eyes where it thought to provide antioxidant and protective light-filtering functions. It, thus, helps prevent "Age-related macular related macular disease"(ARMD) in the elderly.

Persimmons are also a very good source of vitamin-C, another powerful antioxidant (especially native Chinese and American persimmons; provide 80% of DRI). Regular consumption of foods rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful, pro-inflammatory free radicals.

It is good in many valuable B-complex vitamins such as folic acid, pyridoxine (vitamin B-6), thiamin...etc. These vitamins act as co-factors for numerous metabolic enzymatic functions in the body.

Fresh and dry Persimmon fruits also contain healthy amounts of minerals like potassium, manganese (15% of DRI), copper (12% of DRI), and phosphorus. Manganese is a co-factor for the enzyme, superoxide dismutase, which is a very powerful free radical scavenger. Copper is a co-factor for many vital enzymes, including cytochrome c-oxidase and superoxide dismutase (other minerals function as cofactors for this enzyme are manganese, and zinc). Copper is also required for the production of red blood cells.

We baked fairy cakes for Granny and Grampy today. C helped to tip all the ingredients into the bowl, gave them a good stir then spooned the mixture into cake cases (mostly). Then came the fun bit - decorating! If truth be told, more smarties and sugar sprinkles got sampled directly than made it onto the cakes, but much fun was had by all (and G & G declared the cakes delicious)

Fresh strawberries are an brilliant resource of vitamin-C (100 g provide 58.8 mg or about 98% of RDI), which is also a great natural antioxidant. Consumption of fruits rich in vitamin C helps the body enlarge resistance against infectious agents, counter inflammation and scavenge harmful free radicals.

Battery C, 4th United States Artillery

Thomas’ Battery

Lieutenant Evan Thomas commanded the battery at Gettysburg. Thomas was born in 1843 in the District of Columbia. He was the son of Lorenzo Thomas, who would become Adjutant General of the Army of the Potomac. Evan took command of Battery C before Antietam and commanded it until the end of the war. He was breveted captain for his conduct at Fredericksburg and major for Gettysburg, and was promoted to the permanent rank of captain in the regular army in 1864. Thomas stayed on in the army after the war. He was killed in April of 1873 in a fight with Modoc Indians in what is now the Lava Beds National Monument in California. The battery reached the field on July 2 and took position on Cemetery Ridge near the Leister House. Battery C helped drive off the last of the Confederate attack that afternoon and maintained its position through the night. In the morning of July 3 it engaged in a duel with Confederate artillery on Seminary Ridge. One of Battery C’s caissons blew up, killing and wounded a number of men in the nearby 14th Vermont Infantry. The battery shifted position slightly before the afternoon attack.

The great Confederate barrage that preceded Pickett’s Charge landed a direct hit on another Battery C caisson. This caused another three to spectacularly explode, resulting in a cheer from Confederate lines. An enlisted man, John Burns, was killed, and Lieutenant J. McGilvray and 16 enlisted men were wounded. Joseph A. Campbell and William McNeal died of their wounds. The badly battered battery withdrew after this to the artillery reserve.

The work maintenance window started at 1600 on Friday evening. I worked from that point until around 0130 or so, then crashed and got up at 0630 to work until 1630. The migration was a big one, moving two generations in database server and affecting our biggest client-facing sites/applications. I was a stressful wreck leading up to the migration -- plus I had been sick with allergies/cold all week to the point where I was coughing so much I wasn't getting any sleep. I felt horrible!

And now you know why I didn't have time to pull out the real camera. I was finally feeling better at this point -- no more coughing (just sneezing) and the migration was basically complete.
