A walk in the park, quite literally. This morning we went to South Park here in Pittsburgh to take in some nature and I brought along my camera. I’m not typically a nature/landscape photographer but I had fun doing this and feel like I did pretty ok!

my second fondant cake... supposed to be Buzz lightyear... not bad for a beginner i don't think!

A bee and geranium.

Buzz had a great time playing with Troy...Troy may be small but he can definitely hold his own with the big dogs! That's Lexy in the background, eating grass.....

Buzz came in for a revisit check to assess his ear. He still has an infection and required extended ear drops.

Common Carder bee 'buzz pollinating' tomato plants: tomatoes are self-fertile, and capable of self pollination, but insect visits are needed to move pollen from the anthers to the stigma of the flower. Bumblebees are excellent pollinators of tomatoes, and they may ensure a bigger crop, with larger tomato fruits. The buzzing noise that the bee makes to dislodge pollen from tomato flowers sounds quite different to the buzzing noise they make in flight.
