I found these great buttons too. They just happened to be the colors of this month's clm, so some luck subscriber will get this nice little set. It's so hard not to hoard all these great vintage supplies.
The new mini buttons arrived (4 mm across), so I sewed one into place on the waistband before adding a tiny bit of the ultra thin Velcro underneath. A snap might have been preferable, but I couldn't find my tiny snaps, and in any case the two sides of the snap are about the same thickness as the doll Velcro I used.

I found these button people at two separate estate sales. Was creating fashionable button-people a fad craft in the 60's? Nobody wanted them but me!
For the cute as a button dotee swap. I haven't decided what to name her. I'm open to suggestions. :o)
I've decided to name her Betty. Thanks MsEChanel. I like Bertha too but I think she looks more like a Betty.

This is an original button eyes dunny, he stands 3'' tall. He was carefully hand painted with plenty love and some acrylic paint.
