Vuoi provare?

There is no possibility of error in the tango, Dana, it's not like life: it's simpler! For this reason, the tango is so beautiful: I make a mistake, but it is never irreparable, followed by dancing! Why do not you bother? Do you want to try?

Missing faces, veiled ones, obscure looks: statues and mannequins populate Second Life with their mysterious mood. Sometimes they are creepy, sometimes they are gentle, always they are silent.

They look at us, we look at them, but what they tell eachother is a mystery to us.

Melusina wants to show how a collection of photos made around SL together can form a lifeless population, which makes us wonder about human feelings and thoughts.

Opening party: Wednesday 18 October.

Time: 21.00 Amsterdam time (=12 pm SLT)

Tu mi fai girar, tu mi fai girar

No ragazzo, no, no ragazzo, no

You make me twirl

As if I were a doll

Then, you throw me down

Then, you throw me down

You don’t notice when I cry

When I’m sad and tired

You think only about yourself

No, boy, no

No, boy, no

Azalai the time of caravans

In no case is the mind as fascinated as by the camel caravans crossing the Sahara. Something profound is stimulated. The nostalgia for travel, movement and migration emerge as ancestral instincts. Perhaps the nomadic origin of man re-emerges. The idea that man is a sedentary animal is only a modern aberration, thought Bruce Chatwin: "The true home of man is not a house, it is the road... and life itself is a journey to be made on foot." Joining a salt caravan, knowing that you have hundreds of kilometers ahead of you to travel mainly on foot, is a choice that can only be made by forgetting everyday common sense. On the other hand, what common sense is there in physical and mental immobility?

In October 1991, Giosuè Bolis and Miriam Butti are in Niger, where they join a Tuareg caravan headed to the salt flats of Bilma.

For thirty days and twelve hundred kilometers, sixteen men and one hundred and thirty camels cross the Ténéré, one of the most hostile desert areas on the planet.

Spider web inside bamboo butti

#1224 Sam Butti

Today's story and sketch by me, you see Deputy Sam Butti who, while investigating in this deep cavern, deep in the bowels of the Planet Budahunga, where many numbers of the "MCPPOTG" Man Cave Posse Protectors Of The Galaxy have somehow become Citizens. By either volunteering to enter the mysterious Stargate, which appeared under the Oceanside Pier many months ago, in a desperat search for Deputies JB, the Galaxies Greatest Tracker and Bounty Hunter, and Rescue Randy, the only living tissue crash test dummy in this or any Dimension or Galaxy, after they were kidnapped while they were having the Tuesday Lunch Special at the "FTSATEOTG" Fish Taco Shop At The End Of The Galaxy. And now many others are just arriving through Worm Hole Portals, that mysteriously open, and spit out spacecraft with pedestrians, astronauts, and mostly Man Cave Posse Deputies, like Deputy Tobi Bentknob, who was just spit out through the cavern wall with a big thundering noise, and a smell of Burning White Sage, which terrified Sam, who is known to be fearless, he let out a Seeker Caw Caw, (the sound a Seeker makes when very scared, or after an intimate encounter with a female Seeker), which will have to be a story for time, as will where Deputy Tobi was, when he lost control of his intergalactic glider, and was sent here to Budahunga, Until next Sunday ta ta the Rod Blog.

Try it, is the same as a plunge from a high cliff.

Did overlooking, look down, you go back its your steps, you think about me but it does make you stop, you put in position, look at all expect that you, shake your head, close your eyes, you put in place, lengthen arms, a sign of the cross, and you butti. SCREAMINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Sapore di sale

Gino Paoli

www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwwclipeKGc

vicino a me, vicino a me.

ti butti nell'acqua e mi lasci a guardarti

Poi torni vicino e ti lasci cadere

così nella sabbia e nelle mie braccia

e mentre ti bacio sapore di sale

sapore di mare, sapore di te.

The song is about a guy on a beach and he sees a girl swimming and pictures her laying next to him making out w/ him and he says the taste of sea salt brings back memories of kissing the girl's lips which had salt on them from the water.

radichette nell’acqua incantata,

e ti invii il regalo terribile

di un fazzoletto odoroso e fatale.

Sii maledetto. Non sfiorerò con gemiti

o sguardi l’anima dannata,

ma ti giuro sul paradiso,

sull’icona miracolosa

e sull’ebbrezza delle nostre notti ardenti:

mai più tornerò da te.

Anna Achmatova - 1921

Dubai (/duːˈbaɪ/ doo-by; Arabic: دبيّ‎ Dubayy, IPA: [dʊˈbæj]) is a city in the United Arab Emirates, located within the emirate of the same name. The emirate of Dubai is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country. It has the largest population in the UAE (2,106,177) and the second-largest land territory (4,114 km2) after the capital, Abu Dhabi.[4] Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the only two emirates to have veto power over critical matters of national importance in the country's legislature.[5] The city of Dubai is located on the emirate's northern coastline and heads up the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area. Dubai is often misperceived as a country or city-state and, in some cases, the UAE as a whole has been described as 'Dubai'.[6]

The earliest mention of Dubai is in 1095 AD, and the earliest recorded settlement in the region dates from 1799. Dubai was formally established on the 9th June 1833 by Sheikh Maktoum bin Butti Al-Maktoum when he persuaded around 800 members of his tribe of the Bani Yas, living in what was then the Second Saudi State to follow him to the Dubai Creek by the Abu Falasa clan of the Bani Yas. It remained under the tribe's control when the United Kingdom agreed to protect the Sheikhdom in 1892[7] and joined the nascent United Arab Emirates upon independence in 1971 as the country's second emirate. Its strategic geographic location made the town an important trading hub and by the beginning of the 20th century, Dubai was already an important regional port.

Today, Dubai has emerged as a cosmopolitan metropolis that has grown steadily to become a global city and a business and cultural hub of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region.[8] It is also a major transport hub for passengers and cargo. Although Dubai's economy was historically built on the oil industry, the emirate's Western-style model of business drives its economy with the main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services.[9][10][11] Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events. The city has become symbolic for its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, such as the world's tallest Burj Khalifa, in addition to ambitious development projects including man-made islands, hotels, and some of the largest shopping malls in the region and the world. This increased attention has also highlighted labor and human rights issues concerning the city's largely South Asian workforce.[12] Dubai's property market experienced a major deterioration in 2008–2009 following the financial crisis of 2007-2008,[13] but is making a gradual recovery with help coming from neighboring emirates.[14]

As of 2012, Dubai is the 22nd most expensive city in the world, and the most expensive city in the Middle East.[15][16] Dubai has also been rated as one of the best places to live in the Middle East, including by American global consulting firm Mercer who rated the city as the best place to live in the Middle East in 2011.

As it happened I was the only visitor to the truly fabulous, monumental Central Cemetery of Montevideo. It's well worth a look or two to get an impression of how Uruguay remembers her well-known people.

I didn't expect to recognise anything, but there he was. A miner - Il Minatore - whom I've seen in a cemetery in Düsseldorf. He was sculpted by Enrico Butti (1847-1932) of Milan, Italy, between 1887 and 1888 in at least two versions. There's the one in Germany which is sombre but again not more sombre than you'd expect for a burial ground; and there's this utterly dejected miner; just look at his sagging shoulders, his sad drawn face. I sat watching a while, and tears almost welled up.

Il Minatore here graces the family tomb of Juan and Daniel Nicola. Whom they were I don't know, and I haven't (yet) been able to find out. Daniel, presumably Juan's son, has a dedicatory plaque: "A Daniel Nicola. Amigo inolvidable. Sus compañeros de A.T.M.O.". And I don't even know for what that abbreviation stands. I suppose this is fitting, death is a mystery by all accounts.

Isabella Airoldi Casati, the wife of Baron Gianluigi Casati, had died aged twenty-four, in 1889. On its exhibition in 1891, the bronze monument to Isabella instantly enjoyed great acclaim. The underlying concept is one of the first to express 'sweet death', encompassed in a beautiful woman who passes serenely from sleep to the life beyond.
