Tokyo is the megacity with millions of people! The trains and people non-stop move; the shops and office alive 24 hours in 7 days. It seems nobody has time to take rest! The city and people both need more love, peace, freedom, unity and happiness!

Vancouver, Canada - Feb 21 2024: A person is waiting to cross Georgia Street, with a bus passing by, its motion blurred by the slow shutter speed. The Vencouver City Centre skytrain station is visible through the bus windows.
Without these stores staying open late into the night, our lives would be miserable. In a busy metro like NYC it seems like almost all the stores need to be open 24/7. Life here doesn't go by the 9-to-5 schedule. Get on a train at 3 in the morning and you still see people either returning home from work or going to work.
Every Tuesday we are at piano lessons for about 2 hours or longer. It is a highlight of my week as I get to hear my kids play all of what they worked so hard on all week!
Sometimes we all need to 'unplug' / take a break from the World Wide Web. I wasn't gone a 100% but enough to focus on my family, my daytime job and my photography. I have to say it has been well worth it!!! Because I have had BIG, exciting things happening & I'm still in shock! I'd never guess these big company's would find my work. And no, it is not with Getty images which is probably why I am so excited.
So with that being said, I've been on cloud nine for the past few weeks :)
However, I'm still crazy busy with life itself and with more projects coming up but when I get a few extra mins, I'll jump on here to check out everyone's work. I feel like I've missed so much. :/ Well, I hope all my flickr friends are having an amazing weekend!!! I hope to be back very soon! :) - Sarah

Sometimes when I get really busy, or overwhelmed with life, or just tired of people I tend to drop off the face of the earth for a while. At least thats how my friends put it. I feel like I havent seen them in forever. Ive been jam packed every day doing stuff. All important, all needing to be done. And yet at the end of the day I havent done everything thats needed to be done.
I need to shut myself in my room, no internet, no phone, and do homework. The number of papers and amount of work I have is insane, i need Thanksgiving Break to come sooner!

... or reach as far as Surrey by Expo Line... from here, Burrard Station.
As for me, I'm simply catching the Line going to the other side of the platform!

I guess I'm a person full of curiosity who always look for the bottom line when facing problems. Ever since my encounter with the TransLink police, I wonder what's the official rules about photo shooting on Skytrain and in the stations. Therefore, I wrote to the Public Information, TransLink and did get clarification from them about shooting in stations and on the train : (1) no tripod; (2) no photographing of potentially sensitive areas; and (3) SkyTrain Attendants reserve the right to ask someone what they’re doing and/or ask them not to shoot certain things.
I'm quite pleased with the response, so I went back to the Skytrain Station to shoot again. My new challenge is to capture the motion I wanted with no tripod though... :-)

I love New York. There is life in that city. People are always busy going somewhere or doing something. I tried to capture the business in my photographs, but will try not to make it an overdose of motion blur pictures. This was at Union Square station.

My initial "blurby bit" design just didn't pair well with the new header, so I also switched this. Feeling fairly content with this version. I think it could be a postcard, a t-shirt, a sticker & think its colours are mad catchy.

It is Tuesday and I just realized that I never uploaded a picture of the week this past weekend! Gah! Between moving and painting at my sister's new house and running my furthest distance ever, I must have lost my mind.
During a break while painting my sister's porch this past Saturday, I noticed this butterfly feasting on the lantana. When I grabbed my iPhone to take his picture, he became very flighty and seemed to want me to go away.
I think you can see the disdain in his eye.
I've been so lame with photography and Flickr lately though I think this is a decent enough picture considering it is from an iPhone. I'll try to be a better contact. And a better taker of pictures.
