Well I guess I can't say I learned anything specific about 1940. The door looks like it's from the '80s-'90s.

Maybe "Premier Medical Resources" was awful!, a horrible business!, and that's why it ceased to exist? I wouldn't want to jump to conclusions!

In downtown Cairo, Illinois, on July 20th, 2014, outside the former "Fat Boys Bar & Grill" on the east side of Commercial Avenue, north of 8th Street, in the Cairo Historic District, 79000815 on the National Register of Historic Places.

According to satellite imagery on Google Earth, the building was demolished sometime between May 2015 and November 2016.

This built-in sign for W A Smith's Crown Brewery, on the side of the Blueberry Inn, Park Lane, has a reassuring air of permanency about it. It looks to be from the same "workshop" as the sign on the nearby White Swan on Rodney Street - see my next picture.

The Crown Brewery at the corner of Bond St and Athey St was started in 1862, and acquired by William Archer Smith in 1896. It prospered until 1962 when it was taken over by Marston Thompson & Evershead of Burton upon Trent. The bottling plant was closed soon afterwards, but the site remained as a Marstons distribution depot for the North West until 1989 (from Pubs & Breweries of Macclesfield 2 by Paul Wreglesworth & Neil Richardson, 1990)
