Afgelopen oktober, maar dan 25 jaar geleden, startte Geeft Haeghebaert, een ondernemer uit Knokke-Heist, Jorosoft op. Een echte ‘Knokse’ startup in softwareontwikkeling op maat met focus op automatisering van de businessprocessen in productie en distributie omgevingen.
Vandaag, 25 jaar later, staat Jorosoft er meer dan ooit. Een stevige KMO met 10 medewerkers, een mooie klantenportefeuille en tal van geslaagde realisaties op z’n naam.
We hadden voor ons 25-jarig bestaan tal van festiviteiten gepland vertelt Geert. Zo gingen we o.a. voor een ‘deluxe’ editie van ons jaarlijks familiefeest met alle medewerkers en hun gezin en waren we volop bezig met de organisatie van een groot evenement voor al onze klanten en leveranciers om samen ons 25-jarig bestaan te vieren. Jammer genoeg zorgde Covid-19 voor een kink in de kabel en moesten we alle plannen opbergen. Een beetje een feestjaar in mineur dus.
Gelukkig gaat het met Jorosoft zelf goed, gaat Geert verder. Bij de eerst lock-down vreesden we voor het ergste en hebben we ons, zoals zovelen, schrap gezet – ‘ready for war’. Al snel bleek echter dat een deel van onze klanten de bij hen de vrijgekomen tijd wou gebruiken om een aantal automatisatie projecten op de rails te zetten. In de meeste gevallen zeer innovatieve projecten met complexe koppelingen tussen (soms oude) interne software en ‘state of the art’ online platformen en/of machines.De transformatie van focus bij Jorosoft van de klassieke interne software naar software tool www.kneistikrant.be/?p=6830
