We all have our new year resolutions. My new year resolution is to make and maintain good relationship with everyone. Yea my friends that's what it takes to be happy and content in life. The seventy five years of research cannot go wrong. We already kind of knew this from our parents and grand parents. This research further confirms those beliefs. So next time you go out and try to capture the magical shot,, just take some time to soak in the beauty in front of you without worrying about how the picture will turn out and make new relationships with the fellow photographers who are there with you at the same place :)

23 reasons why you should book your next trip to Taiwan
6. Taiwan's western coastline is made up of towns and cities, but the center of the island features beautiful mountains you can climb for breathtaking views. Hehuan Mountain and Ali Mountain are two top-rated scenic spots on TripAdvisor.

Trump really said these words about Obama and now has no qualms about destroying human lives in another country for his own political agenda, to clearly divert away from the fact that he has been impeached and still try to get re-elected.
Here's a Business Insider article that talks about Trump's tweet. We've given this tyrant everything including the nuclear codes. Why???

Incidentally, a social worker once told me she really hates it when people are referred to as spoiled because only food should be referred to in that way but I still think it fits for Trump.

Are you a fan of the HBO series Game of Thrones? Are you really looking forward to the new season? Are you wondering if Jon Snow will be back?
If you're anything like me your answers are: Yes! Most definitely!
He has to!
Last week HBO announced that the new season would premiere in April with an awesome poster featuring a bloodied Jon Snow. Talk about juicing the fan base!
The poster is a really cool piece of graphic design - and it immediately started to shake me out of my creative funk.
(Did I mention I was in a creative funk?)
As we all know, inspiration can come from anywhere at any time - and that poster was pure inspiration to me. I enlisted my son Kyle, who has Jon Snow-like hair and features, as my model. I mixed up a batch of "blood" using corn syrup and a few drops of red and blue food coloring, borrowed a faux fur collared coat and got busy...
Winter is coming!
In case you haven't seen the poster...

Vintage subway art at the Atlantic Avenue station in Brooklyn,NY.The photograph is by Danny Lyon from his wonderful collection called"Underground:1966"He used a German-made Rolleiflex camera with color translucency film to take the shots.Since tripods were not allowed on the trains at the time,he had to hold on to a pole to avoid camera shake which allowed for some blur, which he didn't mind. She is SO ignoring that sign, isn't she.I cropped the shots to get rid of some annoying fluorescent lights in the reflection,I added vignette overlays also.See link www.businessinsider.com/1966-nyc-new-years-danny-lyon-pho...

How do you grow a shrinking coal town? Because NOTHING seems to be working in this beautiful but impoverished slice of paradise, which is known nationally as the "cheapest place in America." Mr. Beckley, do any of those Library of Congress books of yours have an answer?
[This is a statue of the first librarian of the Library of Congress John J. Beckley of whom the Appalachian town of Beckley, West Virginia, with a population of 16,500 in 2019, was named. Mr. Beckley bought land here in the then far western regions of Virginia. Mr. Beckley's statue stands near the center of town.]

Central Park, south end - 004
Between roughly 86th Street and 90th Street, the inner-loop roadway runs parallel to one side of the Central Park reservoir; and just to the east of the roadway is a bridle path, where you'll occasionally encounter New Yorkers determined to ride their horses ... so, when walking along the bridle path, looking east (with Fifth Avenue and the Upper East Side in the background), you frequently see scenes like this one, as joggers go hurtling past...

These pictures were taken during a 3-hour Labor Day stroll through Central Park -- starting on the west side of the park at 96th Street, and walking around the south end, and back up the east side to 72nd Street.
It was a warm, sunny day, and there were people everywhere -- bicycling, skating, walking, picnicking, sunbathing, frisbee-throwing ... and even getting married. It appears that everyone was enjoying themselves, on this final day of the summer season in New York City...

Supermoon lunar eclipse: Where and what time can I see it on Sunday and how long will it last?
On Sunday Sept. 27, the first supermoon lunar eclipse in 30 years will happen.
But not everyone will be able to see the rare astronomical event, which will culminate in a larger-than-usual and blood-red moon.

23 reasons why you should book your next trip to Taiwan
15. A favorite Taiwanese pastime is hanging out at the local hot springs. You can visit public, communal hot springs in your bathing suit, or do as the locals do and soak in private baths (separated by gender) in the nude. They're located throughout the country, with a couple of the most famous being Beitou outside of Taipei, and Jiaoxi in Yilan.

For the past few days, I 've been reading a lot of complaints (some a bit melodramatic-) about the new Flickr presentation; it's true that the site is a bit buggy but this is just a transition, give to Flickr staff some time to fix it. I think the new user interface is very nice, helps to embilish our pictures and is very competitive with site like 500px (as we know a lot of people have been deserting flickr to go to 500px) Remember...No traffic...no website.
Also the latest news is that Apple and Flickr are going to be associated together. See link here:
www.businessinsider.com/apple-flickr-integration-for-ios-...
Let's be optimistic and don't you worry, you will get used to it!

The Bahamas flagged 43,188 gt passenger (cruise) ship, THE WORLD (MMSI 311213000) on her approach to her berth, D Berth (no Passenger Terminal for this baby) at Fremantle Port. She had sailed from Broome, Western Australia with her next port of call being, Albany, Western Australia.
THE WORLD was built in 2002 is managed by Wilhelmsen Ship Management of the USA. She is currently a unique passenger (cruise) ship in that she is the only residence cruise ship floating on the open wide seas. Apparently, there are a couple of ships in the works who will adopt a similar approach to cruising, The Utopia and the Marquette. What makes THE WORLD interesting is that whilst you can rent a studio on the ship, all the studios are privately owned. A top of the range studio can cost in the vicinity of $13 million-plus annual costs of around $1.3 million, whereas for the bargain hunters you only need to pay around $1 million (source: www.businessinsider.com/what-are-condo-cruise-ships/?r=AU...). I have read elsewhere that you also need a minimum net worth of $5 million to be considered as being eligible to make a purchase.
Vintage subway art at the Atlantic Avenue station in Brooklyn.Photograph by Danny Lyon (a correction here from another name I had mistakenly given) from his wonderful collection called "Underground:1966"I was really fascinated with the shots when I saw them.Mr.Lyon used a German-made,Rolleiflex camera with color translucency film for the shots.Love those cane seats in the train car!I remember sitting on them when I was a kid. Some of them pretty bad, though.A man told me (when I was discussing the artwork with him) that women who wore panty hose had runs in them after getting up from the seats. I wonder if that woman is still asleep on that train after 40 years.Hmm www.businessinsider.com/1966-nyc-new-years-danny-lyon-pho...
Well, since I had a hand in drawing the original piece of Pineapple Man art (ie: The only piece, which I made alone) I figured I'd sketch out a few more characters, since I don't have any parts available to me right now. Instead of an outright food theme, (because believe it or not I have a whole range of food-based Superheroes already) I decided to go a more "tropical" route.
In this case, we have Vic Vogelkop, aka Bird Of Paradise: A flamboyant thief in a pitch-black suit, save for a few patches of iridescent material on a widely-expanding cape that he uses to distract enemies and cause dazzling light displays, as well as glide for long distances. Obsessed with shiny and useless objects, Bird Of Paradise prefers to run than stay and fight, and in his off-time is a known ladies-man.

In today's posts of my Pan-American Trek we travel about 400 km south on Mexico Highway 85 through Matlapa, Jacala, Actopan, and ending in Pachuca in the state of Hildago, Mexico. This is my first exposure to the vast slums in central American cities, which tend to be hillside communities where power, water, and roads are not as abundant as they are in the valley. I was deeply moved by the poverty. I was also shocked to find that few pictures exist of these slums online. These are places and times that need to be documented.
PS Someone wrote a story about my Trek.

The young woman here is beautiful, and I love the reflection of the keyboard in her sunglasses ... but I gotta tell ya: the combination of grass and green-glow on the back of her laptop is out of this world. I have to admit that I used some color saturation to pump up the colors a little ... but not much. This photograph made itself: I just happened to be in the right place, at the right time, to point my camera in the right direction and push the shutter-button...

Aka is using a red plastic cap from a cassette gas tank as a temporary home. Cassette gas tanks are often used for cooking with a portable stove on local beaches. The caps are often left as trash on our beautiful shorelines.
Location: Yomitan, Okinawa
* All Coenobita species in Okinawa are recognized as a Living Natural Monument.
