Thanks a lot for your visits, comments, faves, invites, etc ... Always very much appreciated !
Tried to keep the darkness at bay. The tar sick that crept through my veins, keeping my heart black and mind full of dread.
Suddenly I found you, the light. Standing strong and sure, a beacon for those lost in a storm.
But the darkness was all consuming and encompassing. Destroying everything in its wake.
Snuffed out the light that warmed my soul, leaving me cold and empty again. Stuck in the misery of being, because the darkness was too much to handle.

In a perfect world for me days would be changeable with heavy showers and bright intense sunny spells. Luckily we often get days like these, and the weather and clouds fly across the landscape. Burden of tomorrow is by The Tallest Man on Earth, and that's always what tomorrow should be like for me. I also saw my first adders yesterday, so things are slowly warming up.

Just a moment. And I keep my eyes open ;-)
I was inspired by the song by Dota / All you, all major

Was soll ich hier?

Chattering teeth, gnashing of teeth, and in addition the harsh, twisting
Expressions, looks, comments. That must be the hard, real life
Everyone his lot, his burden, his consolation, I was almost
Desperate at the effort of the long streets. What am I supposed to do here?
Don't see long ways, just see vanishing points on the way to you.
–– And then in your arm, all well, nothing else,
All you, all major, all just a tickling laugh, feel good,
These are moments like gifts, like drinks with lime juice and alcohol.
And then in your arm, all good, everything else doesn't matter, priceless hours, times the colorful pictures on your wall, days like seconds and you my prince and foundling in Wonderland.
–– And Patati and Patata, so much palaver and I harder and I wait and I stare.
Abracadabra, I'm there! A sheltering tent in your four walls,
With the window to the sky and the door to the world.
–– And then in your arm, all well, nothing else,
I'm free, I'm a child and we're on the go,
The world is open to discover
So we might as well be hiding here today.
And then in your arm, all well, nothing else,
All you, all major, would only be stupid if I now close my eyes and then open and suddenly you would not be there.

I had a new lens yesterday so was determined to go down the coast and try it out. Despite the fact it was a gloomy night I had great fun, and for a short time a bit of colour appeared as a backdrop to the gloom. Burden of Tommorow is by the Tallest Man on Earth, and puts pressure on better conditions to test it out today.
(During the Saint Ours, the sculpture schools show their past year creations. I was deeply touched by this one, but I don't know the artist's name)
I'm a river, I keep running on
I'm a pillar you got used to leaning on
Underneath it, there's a person
I'm a woman and I'm hurting
'Cause I feel like I'm holding up the world
When I lay this burden down
Who's gonna take it up for me
When you run me in the ground
That's the day you're gonna see
For all I've done I'm alone
Just for a moment can I not be strong
So how 'bout now oh can I lay
This burden down
I deliver each and every time
I'm a giver, I don't think about what's mine
You keep asking, you keep taking
And there's no reciprocation
I shouldn't have to do this by myself
When I lay this burden down
Who's gonna take it up for me
When you run me in the ground
That's the day you'll gonna see
For all I've done I'm alone
Just for a moment could I not be strong
How 'bout now, can I lay
This burden down
I'm a river, I keep running on
I'm a pillar, you're used to leaning on
Just this once, oh just this once
Can I lay this burden down
Can you take it up for me
When you run
When you run me in the ground
That's the day you're gonna see
Now all I've done I'm alone
Just for a moment could I not be strong
Wish I knew how, oh, to lay
This burden down
This statue outside of the Gandhi Museum in Madurai India seems to also represent today's struggles all over the world. The burdens are great when a few great men step up and try to free the oppressed and to show the way to a kinder world where freedom rather than tyranny rules the world.
I was struck by the lack of sharp defined features on this statue. It is as if it represents many men! Such a humble way to depict the man who fought against the might of a empire.
