This is how Piilani highway in Maui, Hawaii looks for the most part. Not even close to what a highway in mainland US looks like! its a 33 mile long curvy and bumpy ride from Kula to the 7 sacred ponds where the pavement is the exact opposite of well preserved. I belong to those people who enjoy driving a manual car through roads like the above. It reminds me of rural roads back in Greece.

Sunday night monsoon storm approaching from northeast. Very dramatic weather conditions. A teaser of the only stitched image I could do, due to speed of clouds, the darkness and long exposures.

happy fourth of july!

(bumpy road ahead)

When I'm on my path of life I always move on

Looking ahead upon what's in front of me

I have always said

Bring it on

I can take it all

I'll deal with it

After all I'm a Viking Queen by heart

If I look back its only because I need to harvest from the experiences I have made

If I don't understand what I have been through and sort that out

Well, then I would have to deal with the same shit over and over again

Untill I see the pattern

And end my behavior that kind of seeks the experiences

In my mind the experiences I have made are like rocks fallen down from the mountain's side

Looking like this image

There are all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors

And with gems hidden in between

There are always gems

That's the signs where I solved the puzzle

I'm of course the mountain

My very own Mount Everest

Standing tall

Standing strong

Following my intuition

Following my light

Moving forward

I don't need to say

Bring it on anymore

I'm allowed to rest now

Enjoy

Love

I've probably posted very similar in the past, but I know I haven't processed this exact same photo.. :-)

Irgendwo auf dem Weg nach Wittenberg.

Ich versuche Euch weiter mit auf meine Sachsen-Anhaltreise zu nehmen, aber ich komme mir gerade vor, als werde ich durchgeschüttelt :-(

Somewhere on the way to Wittenberg.

I'm trying to take you on my trip to Saxony-Anhalt, but I feel as if I'm driving on a bumpy road :-(

QUIRKY - this sign appeared on the Woodland walk when the pathway became overgrown with large tree roots moss and large stones!!!!!

Rocks (and just about everything else) covered in moss.

The nice colourful sunrise yesterday morning worked quite nicely reflected in the frozen ground surrounding these bumps/tussocks/moguls in this area of the New Forest.

Pelicans just make me smile

A monsoon storm finally penetrated the heat island of the Valley last night. It put on a noisy show before the rain fell.

Low sun shadows on a surviving ridge and furrow field. The ancient hedgerow has become a row of random stunted hawthorn trees

A footpath crosses the field giving access to the canal and Millennium Wood, and will be the return route on this walk

A special adventure to see these large transport aircraft approaching the wet beach.

On this day landing was not possible due to soft landing strip but the crews came pretty close ...

Spring thunderstorm season is here, but we haven't had much activity yet....

This was my view for many summers growing up. The instrument cluster of a Ford Golden Jubilee Model tractor. The lever was the throttle and you had to manually hold it open in order to go full speed...which was about one-half turtle. The seat had no padding and was on a piece of spring steel. This was the only suspension so the ride was a bit bumpy and bouncy.

Look, I apologize for that huge amount of P1 shots in my feed, really. I just can't help myself but love the car so much to a degree P1 is becoming another entry on my improvised "All-time car favorites" list. :))

Also, 2014. Oh boy, sure time flies fast.
