This HJ47 is an MY1984 model but has had an engine transplant for a 1HZ. Some of you may recognise this rig from beach trips to Fraser Island as the [previous owner used this rig on extended fishing trips. Despite that, the body is ion pretty good condition, and the chassis has been hot gal dipped. There are so many old school home made features on this rig it is just awesome, none of this buy it and fit it stuff going on here. The canopy was fitted out specifically for fishing trips and is set up to take a double mattress in the back on top of the custom draw setup. The new owner is eventually going to do a full nut and bolt restoration, but before that there are a few big trips planned which will give him a chance to get to know the old girl. My Heljan O gauge class 47, 47004 posed on my layout.

This loco was purchased by my dad from Tower Models in Blackpool in 2009, as D1942, which was one of their limited editions.

My dad passed away in 2013, and the loco stayed tucked up in its box, unopened until September 2024 when I was tidying up his loft and came across the loco.

Immediately I thought of converting it to pass as 47004, so thats what I did.

I removed the previous numbers, and added 47004's details with transfers from Fox, complete with its different numbers at opposite ends and additional decals.

I also added nameplates and shed plates from Shawplan.

I then sent the loco for sound fitting by local DCC expert Paul Hickman. Paul noted that several of the gears had disintegrated (as is usual with Heljan).

Paul kindly ordered some more and fitted the new ones, and now it works perfectly.

John's mk2 Jetta project car that started out being used as a dumpster behind a building before he got his hands on it. He swapped the interior, fixed the body himself, had a hand from a friend re-spraying it, then installed a handful of awesome parts and is now in the midst of an ABA swap with a Neuspeed supercharger (which he's hoping to finish by H2oi).
