Tollgate Cottage
Built in 1769 after the road was turnpiked in 1752, it was originally known as Turnpike Cottage and Monwode Stone Cottage. Built of sandstone it has features typical of the Gothic revival of the period ie pointed arch on the front window. This was a style reinvented by Horace Walpole in his Strawberry Hill house in 1750 and Strawberry Hill Gothic Style is the type of architectural style this house is built to. Extended in the late nineteenth century it later became known as Tollgate Cottage. Sold recently I believe in 2010 for £335,995

built everything, well photographically at least. Great place with excellent cafe and visitors centre. This place is another reserved world of natural wonders nestled in amongst our modern pressures of life and living that often overlooks wildlife and the chance to be calmer and closer to land and water and to those that never left the cycle of seasonal lifestyle.

Built in the 17th century, this church marks the transition of an European Mannerist architectonic style to a Portuguese Baroque style, with the great religious ostentation.
This stylistic combination marked since this period of Jesuit expansion, that spread out the Christ word all over the “new worlds”, colonizing and Christianizing many new territories.
The Church presents a latin cross plant, with one only nave, the main chapel quite evidenced from the rest of the architectonic set, profusely decorated with golden carved wood and rich paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as rich blue and white glazed tiles panels of the 17th century.

Built on the banks of the river Bollin at the start of the Industrial Revolution in 1784, Quarry Bank grew to become one of the largest cotton manufacturing businesses in the world. It was home to hundreds of mill workers and child apprentices. Quarry Bank house was home to mill owners Hannah and Samuel Greg, who chose to build their home right next to the mill at Quarry Bank. This allowed them to be at the very heart of the business operation and be involved with various aspects of mill life.
The house was built 1584 as a patrician home in renaissance style.

Appears to have been the coaling dock for the steam plant for the Western State Hospital in Staunton, VA. A potion of the steam plant is shown on the right, the concrete piers appear to be built to be the last thing left on earth. It does not appear to have been used in quite some time, based on web information it likely has not been used since at least 2003.
This was built as an entry for a contest run by KLUG. The brief demanded a craft fit to carry at least four minifigs in their quest to colonize the galaxy.
I played a bit loose with the rules with this scout transport that carries all the necessary supplies to set up a temporary base on some distant moon or planet before signaling to Rebel HQ for reinforcements.
The design is inspired by Rogue One concept art from @ryanchurchart for the U-wing. I’ve tried to present my LEGO version as it can be seen in the Art of Rogue One book compiled by @philszostaksf
I have to say thanks to Inthert as his U-wing instructions really jump started this project with the troop bay design.
Jake RF and his U-wing project really helped inform a lot of the wing structure on this thing too.
Built in 1865. Kingscourt station was the point the Midland Great Western Railway dreams of expansion northwards to Castlebanley and a possible inland route with the Great Northern to Armagh & Belfast ended. The Great Northern sensing this intrusion into their domain got to Castleblaney first heading the Midland intentions off at the pass.
The Navan - Kingsport became somewhat a dead end branch running through sparse countryside of the north Irish midlands, Passenger services ended in 1947, despite this the branch proved to be a wiley survivor, retaining a freight and in it’s latter years a limited gypsum service to Drogheda & Limerick until it too finally came to an end in Autumn 2001 when this business was transferred to road because strike action on the railways.
The station & good shed still stand, restored in recent years, but the rails like the gypsum now have gone.

Category: Reclaim the Theme:
To some extent Nexo Knights has been very disappointing for Lego fans; where are we going to get new minifigures, shields, factions, and the like? Well, for this category you can fix that! Take an existing Nexo Knights set and remake it in a style more fitting with the Tourney (in other words, "Castlify it"). As noted in category 1, all entries should have strong aesthetic similarities to the original set (consider the prominent stylistic features of the theme as a whole, too), but should also be re-made to fit in with a medieval/fantasy setting.

Woo, that was tiring.
I, once again, had to build most of this over the weekend, but I'm fairly pleased with how it came out. Some sections were rushed, but I thought other came together quite nicely.
Thanks to Connor and Noel for some last minute criticism.
In the mid-1920s, a series of unfortunate events befell the town of Boynton. Plans for a new hotel were abandoned by Addison Mizner and his brother Wilson who eventually built the Cloister Inn in Boca Raton. in 1925, citrus canker was discovered in the town’s orange groves which led to their destruction. The town also began to suffer from severe financial problems resulting in the bank refusing to honor checks signed by the City Clerk and salaries for municipal staff being cut by up to 50%. The Florida Land Boom was beginning to wane at this time and two hurricanes in 1926 and 1928, caused extensive damage which added to the town’s problems. As the Depression hit, Boynton’s financial problems continued to mount and, in 1929, the Bank of Boynton failed.
Concerned residents from the east side of the Intracoastal Waterway were worried about the debt and informed the town they wished to separate from Boynton and start a new municipality. When bond holders began to press for payment on nearly $1 million of indebtedness, Boynton and the eastside residents reached an agreement whereby, upon assumption of half of the debt, a new municipality would be established on the east side of the waterway. The agreement was finalized in on April 17, 1931 with the formation of Boynton on the west side of the canal, and Boynton Beach on the east. In 1939, the Town of Boynton Beach changed its name to Ocean Ridge and, within two years, the Town of Boynton changed its name to the Town of Boynton Beach.
Before a bridge was built over the East Coast Canal (now the Intracoastal Waterway), crossings were made by means of a hand-operated lighter (barge) located at Ocean Avenue. Once on board, passengers would haul on a chain to pull the lighter to the other side.
The first bridge was built over the canal at Ocean Avenue in 1911. The wooden swing bridge was operated by a crank in the center section, pushed by the bridge-tender walking in a circle until it swung open. In 1924, the bridge-tenders were Wilbur and Jessie Forrey. Jessie would crank the bridge while Wilbur lowered a chain across the canal and collected the toll.
Construction of a new bridge began in 1935. The bridge was constructed from steel and was operated with a Scherzer rolling lift bascule, which was an unusual movable span found in only two other bridges in Florida. The span was designed by William Scherzer of Chicago and built by the Nashville Bridge Company. As the bridge was financed with Depression era relief funds given by the Federal Government, the design of the bridge was very plain3. The bridge was 121 feet long, 31 feet wide and carried two narrow lanes of traffic with sidewalks on each side.
In 1970, project development started for the construction of a new bridge at Boynton Beach Boulevard; however, a property owner who would have been impacted by the bridge relocation filed suit and the resulting arbitration ruled in his favor. The project was put on hold for several years and then two proposals were studied. The first was to relocate the new bridge to Boynton Beach Boulevard and the second was to replace the bridge on Ocean Avenue. In 1994, the permit for the Boynton Beach Boulevard bridge was rejected which left the Ocean Avenue proposal as the only option,
Construction of the new bridge started in November 1998 and the project was completed in March, 2001.

Built by the British in 1860, the Fisgard Lighthouse was the first on Canada's rugged west coast. Named a national historic site in 1960, it is still a working lighthouse - although the last keeper rowed away in 1929. Generations of mariners - British and Canadian, naval and merchant have relied on Fisgard as a landmark to the narrow entrance of Esquimalt harbour. (Parks Canada Guide)

Built between 1856 and 1865, this opulent Italianate-style house with Greek Revival elements was constructed by prominent local Irish-born contractor Patrick O'Donnell (1806-1882). Starting in 1907, the house was the home of Josephine Pinckney (1895-1957), whom lived here until 1937. The house was bought by the Preservation Society of Charleston in 1987, with the intention of converting it into a museum and their offices, a plan which was ultimately dropped due to opposition from neighbors. The house has since undergone a thorough, period-correct restoration.
