Europe District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in coordination with Landesbetrieb Bau and Immobilien Hessen, manages the construction of the Outdoor Recreation building for Wiesbaden Family and MWR on Clay Kaserne.

The main building includes a customer service area, storage area for rental equipment to include built-in ski and snowboard racks, admin offices, a maintenance shop for bicycles, skis, snowboards and other recreation equipment, and separate staff and public toilets.

The construction started in December 2018 and is scheduled to be complete in September 2019.

Officials with Europe District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and partners celebrated the construction groundbreaking on a 21st-century elementary school for Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany, March 1.

Representatives from Patch Elementary School and DoDEA-Europe, U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart, the Staatliches Hochbauamt Stuttgart and contractors Peter Gross Hoch und Tiefbau and Wolff & Müller Government Services, a joint-venture partnership for the construction, and Ondra Generalplaner, the agency that designed the facility attended the event.

The early 115,000 square-feet school, scheduled to open for the 2021 school year, will house 550 students from prekindergarten through the fifth grade for a cost of nearly $50 million.

Officials with Europe District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and partners celebrated the construction groundbreaking on a 21st-century elementary school for Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany, March 1.

Representatives from Patch Elementary School and DoDEA-Europe, U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart, the Staatliches Hochbauamt Stuttgart and contractors Peter Gross Hoch und Tiefbau and Wolff & Müller Government Services, a joint-venture partnership for the construction, and Ondra Generalplaner, the agency that designed the facility attended the event.

Europe District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in coordination with Landesbetrieb Bau and Immobilien Hessen, manages the construction of the Outdoor Recreation building for Wiesbaden Family and MWR on Clay Kaserne.

The main building includes a customer service area, storage area for rental equipment to include built-in ski and snowboard racks, admin offices, a maintenance shop for bicycles, skis, snowboards and other recreation equipment, and separate staff and public toilets.

The construction started in December 2018 and is scheduled to be complete in September 2019.
