Das sind ein paar meiner Bücher und den Boden hab ich vor ein paar Tagen selbst verlegt. Dafür das ich zum ersten Mal einen Venyl Klebeboden verlegt habe gings ziemlich gut. Was sagt ihr, gefällt er euch?

Varanasi (Inde) - La dernière fois que je suis allé à Varanasi en 2018, je me suis intéressé aux croque-morts indiens. Ce boulot impur est dévolu aux Dalits, des intouchables (hors castes) et plus particulièrement à la communauté des Doms. Ce sont eux qui transportent les défunts sur des civières en bambou, préparent et entretiennent les buchers funéraires. Méprisés par les castes indiennes on leur confie néanmoins l’accompagnement des défunts dans leur ultime voyage, jusqu’aux portes de l’Au-delà.
Cette communauté de parias est autant méprisée qu’elle est crainte. Hormis le commerce du bois qui est rentable pour la communauté, les revenus des membres dépendent de la générosité des familles des morts qui les rémunèrent en fonction de leurs moyens. Si les familles sont fortunées, ils peuvent gagner jusqu’à une soixantaine d’euros pour 18 heures de travail. Mais il arrive que leur journée leur rapporte à peine 2 euros. Un service public à l’indienne.

Varanasi (India) - The last time I went to Varanasi in 2018 I got interested in Indian undertakers. This impure job is devolved to Dalits, untouchables (outside castes) and more particularly to the community of Doms. They are the ones who transport the deceased on bamboo stretchers, prepare and maintain the funeral pyres. Despised by the Indian castes, they are nevertheless entrusted with accompanying the deceased on their final journey, to the gates of the afterlife.
This community of outcasts is as despised as it is feared. Apart from the timber trade which is profitable for the community, the income of the members depends on the generosity of the families of the deceased who remunerate them according to their means. If families are wealthy, the Doms can earn up to sixty euros for 18 hours of work. But it also happens that their day earns them barely 2 euros. Indian public service.
