The silence in the park, the light breeze and the warm rays of the sun made the winter landscape feel intimate. Almost nothing green, everything dry, but this moss on this branch gave hope of days full of greenery and sun. I didn't see anyone else in the park, walking alone, I felt that this world was mine, even though there was not much to photograph. Good day to feel poetic and melancholic with today's rainy day.
Trees for Tuesday
Various mosses and lichens cover almost everything in Washington's Hoh Rainforest. These two trees caught my eye while hiking the Spruce Tree trail. Such a special place.
Thanks for taking a look!
In the silence of the forest, where whispers float,
so moves a father, strong and kind.
He is the cord you feel, though invisible,
the serene calm of the beautiful green moss.
A father's love, not always heard loud,
but enduring, like the word of nature.
Happy Father's Day! To all the wonderful Fathers of Flickr! 🙌
Lots of them -- little moss plants, growing in a moist area, on the ground. Mosses can't grow very tall, because they don't have the conductive tissues that carry water up to parts some distance from a source.

Wish you all dear flickr friends a year filled with health, love, prosperity and many inspiring new pictures! :-)
Mosses are small, non-vascular flowerless plants in the taxonomic division Bryophyta sensu stricto. Bryophyta may also refer to the parent group bryophytes, which comprise liverworts, mosses, and hornworts. Mosses typically form dense green clumps or mats, often in damp or shady locations.
National reserve in Wales
Coedydd Maentwrog, on the north side of the Vale of Ffestiniog, is the largest wood in the Vale. The national nature reserve consists of two separate sections: Coed Llyn Mair, and a group of three forests.
Taken with an iphone and macro attached lens, then cropped even more. Shows the sporophyte and calyptra of a Bryophyta moss.

Moss sporophytes. The little capsules, each on a stalk, hold spores, which, if all goes well for them, will be blown away, land somewhere, and grow into a moss gametophyte.
