I came across Stagecoach's 80416 turned off and seemingly abandoned, with doors open, in Bromley not long ago. I hung around for a bit before the driver came back with a sandwich and drink and then the bus headed off towards Bromley North Station presumably to start work on the SL3.

One of the exercises to boost your creativity or vision is to shoot in a place you are pretty familiar with. It may look like it lucks opportunities and general stuff which you think is necessary for taking a good street photo.

Why then would you waste your time shooting in unattractive or boring places?

As someone said, limitations or constraints spark creativity.

If you would want to make good photographs, your brain will work harder to help you out. Finding something new in your local high street will benefit you many times when your will be shooting somewhere else.

I live in London and believe that we, Londoners, are spoiled with opportunities. For me, it is pretty difficult to imagine living in a small city or town that does not have tourist places or a bubbling environment which makes up 80% of my street photographs. To step into someone shoes, I decide to try my luck at my local hight street.

One of my favourite photographs; it has an inevitable abandonment feel.
