It is his first musical Festival.

He was happy.

PS. I took him to see a classical concert (Symphony No. 9 - Beethoven) and Radiohead concert (A Moon Shaped Pool).

It was time for him to be part of a festival.

He is a great musician.

Waiting for them. They are not late. Five minutes to go.

Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The band consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Matt Helders (drums, vocals), Jamie Cook (guitar, keyboards) and Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals). Former band member Andy Nicholson (bass guitar, backing vocals) left the band in 2006 shortly after their debut album was released.

They have released six studio albums: Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006), Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007), Humbug (2009), Suck It and See (2011), AM (2013), and Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino (2018), as well as one live album, At the Apollo (2008). Their debut album is the fastest-selling debut album by a band in UK chart history, and in 2013, Rolling Stone ranked it the 30th-greatest debut album.

The band has won seven Brit Awards – winning both Best British Group and Best British Album three times, and have been nominated for five Grammy Awards. They also won the Mercury Prize in 2006 for their debut album, in addition to receiving nominations in 2007, 2013 and 2018. The band have headlined at the Glastonbury Festival twice, in 2007 and again in 2013.

Arctic Monkeys were heralded as one of the first bands to come to public attention via the Internet, with commentators suggesting they represented the possibility of a change in the way in which new bands are promoted and marketed.

Tomorrow Scotland holds a referendum on independence, but today it was all about this Scot here in DC. Amazing talent. Incredible voice. Awesome concert.

viva la vida!

i drew this.

Lonnie Donegan and Mark Goodwin during performance of "My Old Man's a Dustman. c 1971.

This pic just turned up out of the blue. I don't know when or where it was taken or who the photographer was. However, I am very pleased because of all the pics I have of this time, I did not have one of Lonnie and I performing Dustman. This looks like it was taken under the stairs!...Maybe there was an air raid warning!!

* Do I Wanna Know?

The rock band bet on an eclectic setlist, with 20 songs from various phases of their career.

The Arctic Monkeys ended the first day of Lollapalooza Brasil 2019 concerts. Thousands of people followed the British quartet, who opted for a setlist that visited all of their albums.

The quartet played from the song that launched them, "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor," to the latest hit, "Do I Wanna Know?". The songs from his latest album, "Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino" also featured.

Samuel Frederick Smith (born 19 May 1992) is an English singer-songwriter. He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch", which peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. His subsequent feature—on Naughty Boy's "La La La"—earned him his first number one single in May 2013. In December 2013, he was nominated for the 2014 Brit Critics' Choice Award and the BBC's Sound of 2014 poll, both of which he won.

He released his debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, in May 2014 on Capitol Records UK. The lead single, "Lay Me Down", was released prior to "La La La". The second single, "Money on My Mind", became his second number one single in the UK. The album's third single, "Stay with Me", was an international success, reaching number one in the UK and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, while the fourth single "I'm Not the Only One" reached the top five in both countries. The fifth single, "Like I Can", reached number nine in the United Kingdom. He made his United States debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, followed by a performance on Saturday Night Live in March 2014.

In December 2014, Smith was nominated for six Grammy Awards, and at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2015 he won four: Best New Artist, "Stay with Me" for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and In the Lonely Hour for Best Pop Vocal Album. At the 2015 Brit Awards, he won the awards for British Breakthrough Act and Global Success. At the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Smith received three Billboard Awards: Top Male Artist, Top New Artist, and Top Radio Songs Artist. His musical achievements have also led him to be mentioned twice in the Guinness World Records.

For his and Jimmy Napes' song "Writing's on the Wall", the theme for the James Bond film Spectre (2015), Smith won the Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award for Best Original Song. His second studio album, The Thrill of It All, was released in November 2017, and debuted atop the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. The lead single, "Too Good at Goodbyes", reached number one in the UK and Australia and number four in the US.

The audiences of the music festivals in Brazil are enormous.

This is for 80,000 people a day at the car racetrack (Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix).

He got the audience singing dramatic ballads like 'I'm Not the Only One', 'Stay With Me' and 'Too Good at Goodbyes'.

"The audiences in Brazil are the best in the world.Thank you all. I'll be back whenever you want me," he warns, still in the beginning.

Here's a fun little animation I created from photos taken in Liverpool! These incredible statues of John, Paul, George, and Ringo are located on the facade of the Hard Days Night Hotel on Mathew Street.

I used Midjourney's AI animation tools to bring the still images to life, giving them a subtle "rocking out" motion. It’s a modern digital twist on a classic tribute to the greatest band of all time, right from the heart of where it all began. Hope you enjoy this mix of sculpture, photography, and AI magic!

A little something for Halloween. If you like ridiculously distorted, over-driven psycho-blues-a-billy, howling wolves, growling monsters, people screaming, skulls, skeletons and, erm, trains, you might like this. If you don't, there will be a night bus along shortly...

I have no doubt, one day the sun will come out...

I came across this live version of Trio's 1982 hit by Elastica, which I loved. However, the sound was a bit timid for me, so I have weaponised it. It starts off close to the original, but then takes off into another dimension. What I love, as well as the music, is that it is played with unadulterated joy.

In 1995 Elastica's first album became the fastest selling British debut in history.

The Who have always been my favourite band, so I am turning one side of my living room into a tribute to the band 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 I still have two more framed posters of The Who to come. Not to everybody's taste but I don't care. The opposite wall is going to become a tribute to The Beatles. Photo taken with my Samsung Phone camera 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯

Eddie Argos and Jasper Future of the now defunct band Art Brut. They used to put on killer live shows with their witty spoken word indie rock. Great debut album back in 2005.
