I’ve been to a lot of concerts in my life, from The Rolling Stones to U2 to The Police and James Taylor. This was probably one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The musicians were true professionals and played flawlessly. I would highly recommend catching a Brit Floyd show next time it comes to a town near you. I only wish that I had my Sony gear with me.

This image was shot in RAW format on my Pixel 2 Google phone. Pretty cool huh? Post processing done in Snapseed RAW then brought into Snapseed for the final touches. I am looking forward to doing some PP in LR.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond
I’ve been to a lot of concerts in my life, from The Rolling Stones to U2 to The Police, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and James Taylor. This was probably one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The musicians were true professionals and played flawlessly. I would highly recommend catching a Brit Floyd show next time it comes to a town near you.

I’m a sucker for rock concerts and great light shows, and Brit Floyd always delivers both - music for the ears and candy for the eyes. They’re a Pink Floyd cover band, and I imagine that Pink Floyd must be the king of light shows and a high quality production, and Brit Floyd follows suit.
Some concerts can be challenging for cellphone cameras: bright lights and deeps shadows, not being close enough, being at the wrong angle, and even being too close to get the whole set in the shot.
And I’m convinced that some bands intentionally produce lighting designs that are sure to yield the worst possible photos!
Sometimes I turn the camera to the audience. It’s great to see all these happy people, forgetting their troubles for at least a little while. This shot was taken near the end of the concert, with people on their feet, cheering for the band. How do you put a price on that? It’s priceless!
I’m not aware of any venue that’ll let you bring in a DSLR, and some even threaten to kick you out if you take any photos with anything at all. If you want a memento, they’re happy to sell you a cheaply made t-shirt for a crazy price. No thanks, I say: my iPhone photos will do just fine.

Challenging for the iPhone camera with low light but bright background. I was not far away from Edo when I took this shot, but it is still very grainy and atmospheric (the fogger machines we’re running full blast nearby).
More painterly than photographic, I like it nonetheless.
Edo was fabulous, as was the whole band!!
