Villa built on a cliff for the writer Curzio Malaparte. Villa made famous by the shooting of 2 great movies: 1) Le Mépris by Jean-Luc Godard (1963) with Brigitte Bardot and Michel Piccoli. 2) La Pelle by Liliana Cavani (1981) with Marcello Mastroiani, Burt Lancaster and Claudia Cardinale.

St Tropez est devenu St Trop dès 1950, quand le monde artistique et intellectuel parisien, envoûté par le charme du petit port, y descendait pour l'été.

Polarstar, a Norwegian sealer vessel. Due to the war she was built in Glasgow, Scotland, ordered 1946 and finished 1948. This was the first seal hunting ship built in steel, which was one of a kind and took this type of polar vessels into a new era. The ship was also built as a purse seiner and a trawler, and had large capacity freezer. This craft was the flagship in the ice going hunting vessels.
The sealing grounds was at New Foundland and in Vesterisen depending on the season.
Polarstar has also been used as a service ship for the Governor of Svalbard, expedition ship for the Norwegian Polar Institute, searching for oil at the coast of Virginia, shipping equipment for coal company, crusin' tourists and as a passenger vessel.
There was even a helicopter platform in the stern.
Size; 151 feet, 424 ton and a Atlas polar diesel of 900 hp. Later a Deutz of 2000 hp.
From new until 1998 it was owned by the same company,
1998 it was taken out of business.
Just before she was going to be nails, a group of enthusiasts took initiative to save the ship, and in 2005 they finished the ship, and she is back in business.

J'aime cette carte pour ses couleurs, parfaitement en accord, et pour la rose, la plus belle de toutes les fleurs, la fleur des fleurs (comme la Bible est le livre des livres). Cette rose rajoute à l'impression de "carte postale florale". Brigitte a beau être une "bonne actrice", elle est aussi un instrument pour la réalisation de quelques jolies cartes.
While taking an early morning walk on the famous "orla Bardot" (its a long and beautiful typical sidewalk along the sea) of Buzios (a fantastic seasort-fishing village) in Brazil to get some good light and on my way to the fishermens dock (great experience I manage to dive and jump and swim with huge turtles - lucky omen they said) ... this is a view of part of a great group statue in homage to the local fishermen of this fantastic unique place in the world... all is so peaceful, the gentle sound of the waves, the smell of the sea and fresh fish .. and all kinds of boats from great
yachts to fishermens small little boats so colourful .. a delight and unforgettable walk (I was so lucky to do it with "real" locals) ... after I went back "home" to my dear friend who so kindly invited me over (she knows who she is) ... but I will never forget this very early walk and the feeling of total joy while diving from the dock into the emerald sea with all the kinds of sea creatures (ah the huge sea turtles did not bite me !) - just magical! So my friends have a great Summer (if you are in this part of the world) and if not just enjoy.
