🌐 Puente Batel, Corrientes, Argentina 🇦🇷

If you want to get a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge & Lower Manhattan try the Brooklyn Bridge Park. The park spans 85 acres of the East River waterfront in the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo neighbourhoods of Brooklyn and is a great place to visit.

The Old Railroad Trestle

(located in River Walk, downtown Murphy NC)

This old trestle crosses the Valley River and carries the rail that once conneced Murphy to Andrews, NC.

Archeological evidence indicates that this is not the original railroad bridge built when the railroad connected Murphy to points east. When the river is very low, you might be able to observe old wooden footers under the existing bridge that would have been the foundation for an earlier, wooden trestle.

These old wooden footers would have been built on shore, then floated to position before being sunk and filled with rocks to hold them in place. The wooden trestle would have been built up from this new foundation.

Just when the newer steel bridge replaced the wooden trestle is not known exactly. Presumably the new bridge was needed to carry larger and heavier trains necessary to service this growing area.

This beautiful old steel bridge stands silent now. It stands now as a monument to busier times. No train has crossed here since THE LAST TRAIN LEFT MURPHY ON JULY 4, 1992.

Since 1985, the Penang Bridge has stretched like a silver thread over the strait, binding island and mainland, past and present. For newcomers, it’s a breathtaking path over blue waters; for those who know it well, each crossing is a quiet return to familiar shores, where memories ride the wind.

The time tunnel, but this is not the 1966 American sci-fi tv series, this is the Dublin winter lights of 2022.

Sparks will fly in the time tunnel.

Above the calm waters of the river stands one of Portugal's greatest engineering feats: the Vasco da Gama Bridge. At 17 kilometres long, it is not only a link between two shores, but also a symbol of vision, progress and overcoming.

On foggy days, it seems to disappear into the horizon, as if challenging the limits of reality. On sunny days, it reflects the golden light, merging with the sky and the water in a silent dance of shadows and sparkles.
