A celebration of the theme of BrickCon 2016 and one of my all time favorite bands. What a great idea, I had no idea there where so many Madness fans out there!
Since I traveled to Seattle with a buddy of mine, I unfortunately couldn't be there for the whole event. During the couple of days I did spend there, I had a great time. Although this is the first US event I attended, the quality of the builds seemed pretty high. It's a shame the space section wasn't really prepared for such an invasion. Builds tended to get swamped a little.
Speaking of builds, there were too many good ones to list favorites. Of course a couple of builds stood out for me, but that's based on personal preference and seems pointless to list. I would like to address some people though, because in the end it's really the people that make such an event worth going to.
Thanks to rphilo004 for the awesome mini Feros tanker. I'll have a photo of it escorting the big brother up soon. Also thanks to you and ktorrek for letting me tag along for some greek lunch.
jon1138, awesome to have met you. And again, congratulations on your trophy. I eagerly await your next build.

Some scenes from our "silver age" space diorama at BrickCon last weekend. Unfortunately most of my photos turned out crap, these are the few that are half-way decent. You can find more in others streams and the official BrickCon photo pool.
Can you guess what each letter represents? This is a Lego Alphabet made with 122 Minifigures and Lego bricks. I think this might be a Lego first since I couldn't find anything like this online. I'm working on making words with solid colored minifigs, like my letter "O".
This Moc turned out to be more interactive and educational than expected. At BrickCon and "Bricks By The Bay" tons of children and adults stopped to guess every letter, usually helping each other, and sometimes young kids even sang the alphabet song.

Storm Troupe Dance Company from the MOC titled "Parallel Dance Universe". They are rehearsing two dances from the Swan Lake Ballet: the White Swan Pas De Deux (duet) and the Dance of the Cygnets (little swans). Other dancers are taking ballet class at the barre or stretching and gossiping. One dancer looks closely into the mirror and imagines if a parallel dance universe exists.
I realized too late (as in, just now) that I hadn't taken my obligatory multi-SHIP shot. Instead, here's a shot of part of the fleet that rphilo004 and Red Spacecat bravely parked within falling distance of my SR2.
Luckily, there were no casualties. (that I'm aware of)
I was finally able to get a photo of Mark Neumann's ship... I mean... well... people were always in the way... LOOKING! ;)
