" A brand new gallery with one sole purpose: show the works of ‘new’ and talented Second Life photographers supported by the artists we all know and cherish. All of us spend a lot of time working on pics, or artwork, whatever you want to call it. But a lot of superb work just is ‘out there’, and deserves to have a good look. We’ll be scanning our information feeds continuously for great new and old works and artists, and will bring them together in LW – The Gallery to inspect them yourselves.
Those ‘talents’, or rather Rising Stars as we refer to them, will be supported by well known artists whose work we’re all familiar with, with one difference: the Shining Stars have a theme to their work…
Saturday October 11 at 1PM SLT we will present a great mix of excellent flickr works and new works especially made for this occasion, with special attention for the artists presenting works in a completely new style to them: Galatea and Cynthia.. That and a lot of never before seen work – not on flickr, not on SL - from a lot of the other artists should make it worth your while to drop in!!

Good morning all ;) I had the wonderful weekend! I participated in nice parties everyday. This photograph is the opening party of the Benzaiten gallery.
Fingers and ariel invited me to the gallery as an artist. Wow!!!
They displayed my art in the gallery. I am very honored. Thank you so much Fingers and ariel. Big hug's you two.You two make so happy !!!
I met many great artists in the party. What a wonderful weekend!!!

I won't post the complete image until after the exhibition has opened. The pose will then be available too ;)

Fingers Scintilla and ariel Brearly have organized a Charity Art Sale, the proceeds to benefit the Live & Learn in Kenya Program. Here is my contribution to this incredible effort.
Live and Learn in Kenya NGO is based in Selb, Germany. Live and Learn in Kenya International NGO is its "daughter" organization in Kenya and is a registered non-profit, charity organization.
Desolation, hunger and thirst, poverty beyond comprehension, illiteracy, AIDS, child prostitution, child brides - this is what rules the lives of the people - especially the children - living within the Rhonda Slums of Nakuru, Kenya. Live and Learn in Kenya is changing this - day for day - child for child.
Live and Learn in Kenya finds sponsors to finance the education of needy children, which includes everything that the child needs in order to go to school — fees, uniform, shoes, textbooks, school supplies.
We have a German-based medical/dental partner organization "Arzt- und Zahnarzthilfe Kenya" , that provides for medical and dental care — including quarterly check-ups and vaccinations.
Our feeding program is also a huge success. With our "Shared Joy" project we are able to assure nutritious warm lunches for nearly 500 children every day. All funds are donations.
100% of the donations are transferred directly to Kenya to care for the children, provide education, medicine, food, shelter and foster care. Nobody is earning a cent at Live and Learn in Kenya NGO. Our professional staff in Kenya are paid through donations in order to insure a smooth running of the project - so that the children receive all that the should.
The Event begins at 11am SLT - Sat 25th Feb. and goes throughout the day with music, including some of Second Life's best-loved performers.

People climbing down ( Too the beach) then back up a 450 ft. dune at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Empire Michigan. Nope I didn't go down.
After running and throwing up quite a splash a coastal brown bear comes up without a fish. She looks confused, and I can almost hear the thoughts in her head, "Where did that fish go?" Fishing bears are unsuccessful frequently, but some bears are better than others at the hunt. The water here is still fairly deep and this allows a fish to escape more easily. When water is shallow, bears can sometimes drive a fish right out of water and onto land.
