This is a painting that I did early this spring in Alaska. It depics "breakup" the breakup and subsequent movement of the ice down the Chena River in Fairbanks. It is very exciting to see and hear, the many tonne blocks of ice rumble and bang, sounding like freight trains passing as they crash into one another!
I have been doing a lot of drawing and sketching since I've returned home to Japan. I really really, MUST, get around to take photos of my latest works and upload them to this site!! Sigh, I can be so lazy....

On our third or so date we went ice skating. I complained the whole time, and we had our first PDA when waiting for my ankles to stop hurting so bad so we could return to the ice.
