Sometimes we have to fight a losing battle.

That's what that ice looks like to me, anyway.

When I got home I laid like this, then I felt like I was being a debbie downer so I started tumblr browsing and felt the urge to draw .. this is what I came up with .. I haven't drawn in years .. where did the urge come from? (08/21/09)

When we left, the river was noisy! We could hear the ice freezing and thawing, and the freezing causing the ice to break apart as it expanded.

I am sorting my feelings about a recent breakup and hoping to cope with it soon... I decided to make a 365 days project as a self-therapy... every day I will try to upload a picture and a though and see what happens in a year....

Day 1: new haircut.

A friend told me Japanese symbolize changes with new haircuts... so here we have a new Me!

This picture was taken 1st December 2010, I have amended my camera´s date options....

Relation on the verge of collapse....

My boyfriend broke up with me last night, so this was my midnight through seven a.m. remedy: a pile of sappy, romantic, make-you-cry movies and a pint of java mash-up ice cream.

ps - it only worked for a little while. i woke up this morning and it hurt again :(

Through May the frozen river started breaking up, causing huge blocks of ice to drift down the river

Azouzetta Lake in Pine Pass in the process of ice breakup. At an elevation of about 900 meters, this is one of the lower mountain lakes. Note the considerable snowpack at the higher levels still. May 28, 2012.

A personal project analyzing the stain of a breakup and the volatility of the emotions we assign to images.

Of all the things I lost in the breakup, the one thing I regret losing the most was my temper.

Last club day with AGM & Presentation of Trophies.

Ice as of June 4, 2006. It is mostly gone, except for this strip in front of the beach. But pieces are getting restless and are milling about. The big sheet must have some pieces dragging bottom, because it is fairly immobile still. But it all is getting whittled away rapidly. Been a south wind last few days - need a bit out of the north and goodbye ice.

A really apt caption provided by my friend..

Every time I go to Coney Island, there are bouquets of flowers strewn about on the beach. Must be a popular spot to get pissed off at your man.
