In this scene: Itâs early morning November 04 2021 and mum and I are slowly gathering ourselves for the journey home from our time in London. As a side comment; we got upgraded to a suite with a window view spanning what seemed from within the whole width of Parliament. As I put the kettle on to make us a brew I turned the news on â BREAKING NEWS! Extinction Rebellion have blocked the road (a major route) into Westminster and The Houses of Parliament; a peaceful protest against crimes to the environment and a message to Government. I opened the curtains to find that what was being relayed on the TV news was developing in real-time (seen just right of Big Ben as you view this image) from our expansive hotel viewpoint. We sipped our tea, watched and listened. Stuck in a trance-like state of the moment I suddenly became conscious; âSh!t mum! Weâd better get ready our trainâs at..!â And so our scurrying began.
I donât actually recall capturing the scene. I certainly missed the glory of this burning sunrise. Sometimes youâre in the moment when youâre not really in the moment.

The beloved, 114 yr old landmark pier in White Rock, BC Canada was severely damaged by a windstorm that ripped through Metro Vancouver, BC Canada on December 20th.
The White Rock Pier is a historic landmark dating back to the 1920's and one of White Rock's finest tourist attractions boasting over 1,540 feet of boardwalk.
Each and every visit, comment and fave are most appreciated.

I am sitting here this morning listening to the awful news coming out of Paris. What is the world coming too - where will it all end?
I had never thought of it until my daughter mentioned that my grandson, born in 2000, has never known a world without terrorism. It really does bring it home how sad it is for the young ones.
This is the fourth day of wildfires “Camp Fire” since Nov. 8th in Butte County, Northern California. All of the town, Paradise almost be destroyed, includes 23 people were killed, 35 people still missing and most of the buildings are in ruin.
Around the San Francisco Bay Area, sky is covered by the huge smoke days and nights. I took this picture on the top level of garage of Millbrae Bart Station, it is about 190 miles far away from Butte County. Red dusk light, orange setting sun over the residential on the hills. Inevitably, the air fills of sad emotions during my stay. Hope everything goes well in the short future. God bless America! God bless everyone!

Last month, on September 10th was one of my biggest forecasting wins in my 8 years of storm chasing. After hiking a 14er the day prior a look at models, and a bit of a gut feeling was telling me to go to Wyoming. A surprise tornado outbreak would unfold the next day and I was there to document it all as tornadoes of all shapes and sizes roamed across the landscape.

I feel fine. Do I seem any different? That's not Kermit under the examination table, it's my pal Sad Kermit. There's a big difference. He has a lot of troubles and worries.I tried to warn him that space travel isn't for everyone but he hid onboard the GioHubble and it was too late by the time I found him.

On the peak night of the Geminids there are three other meteor showers with radiant points active near the Geminids, plus three more near the southern horizon at this time of night, plus random meteors not associated with a known shower. Obviously they do NOT all point to the same radiant point.

oh, in today's paper - another genius managed to crash his motorbike into a turning bus, going through the rear doors in the process and leaving his bike wedged in the bus aisle. he wasn't as lucky as this driver and is in a critical condition. check out the picture in the news story

If you're familiar with the constellation Orion, shown in this picture, Comet Lovejoy (the blue-green fuzzy dot with faint white tail) can be found above and to the right of Orion over the next week or two. Comet Lovejoy will move up in the sky a bit more each night.

alright, so ive officially decided all the crazies go to Florida. First the bi polar guy who lived down the street from my grandma who gets himself shot and killed shouting he has a bomb in an airport, now this .
Its actually quite interesting to me being in the midst of this project about mental illnesses... the mother claimed her son had been diagnosed psychotic (so he was not mentally stable). This was his first 'episode'. Yet he was shot and killed upon the police's arrival at the house. Shouldnt he have been admitted to a mental hospital? It almost reminds me of Changeling. Its all quite strange... my grandma actually knows this guys older brothers. Small world.

Rancho Palos Verdes, CA: Illegal fireworks set off across the Los Angeles metropolitan area in celebration of 2020-2021. New Year's gatherings are canceled across Los Angeles as the region suffers low ICU beds during the worst month of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, court rules that outdoor dining ban will be extended. This year's oceanfront fireworks were also cancelled, including Redondo Beach in the image foreground. The Wilshire Grand in Downtown Los Angeles can be seen lighting up '2021' on the horizon.

The Antarctic cruise set sail from Argentina on March 15, after a pandemic had already been declared. The ship''s physician, Dr. Mauricio Usme, said that when the first passenger fell ill, on March 22, he was pressured by the captain, the cruise operator and owners to modify the health conditions that had to be met for the ship to be admitted into ports.
Dr. Usme refused. The boat anchored in the port of Montevideo on March 27.
More than half of its passengers and crew tested positive for COVID-19. Finally, on April 10, 127 passengers, including some who were infected, were allowed to disembark and fly home to Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., Canada and Europe. Crew members were told to stay on board.
The doctor was hospitalized in an intensive care unit in Montevideo, along with a Filipino crew member, who later died.
"People are exhausted and mentally drained,” said Dr. Usme, now recovered and back on the Greg Mortimer. “It''s a complex situation. You feel very vulnerable and at imminent risk of death.”
